Commercial Description:
Brewed with a combination of roasted barley malts and freshly ground espresso beans to produce a rich robust flavour. The intense coffee flavour is delicious on its own or as a perfect compliment to chocolate. Holiday favourites such as Christmas cake and plum pudding go very well with this unique dessert beer.

A deep red beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with primary notes of roasted malt and caramel, but also light coffee notes. The flavor is sweet mlaty with notes of cappuchino and light notes of caramel - remind me of an ice cream dessert topping. The body is thin.

(Bottle 34,1 cl) Clear, dark, reddish brown with a small, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt and coffee. Fairly light body with roasted malt, coffee and perhaps some chocolate. A dry finish without much bitterness. A bit bland perhaps, but high drinkability. Courtesy of presario. 120207

Deep brown, almost black colour with a small tan head. Roasted malty aroma with a heavy coffee and chocolate sweet note. Coffee bitter flavor with a vague chocolate sweetness and a hoppy note. Dry finish.

Bottled. Dark reddish brown coloured. Coffee, light roast and cocoa in the aroma. Flavour is a bit bland. Some roastyness, and a light touch of coffee. Seems a bit unfinished. Thin and watery. Sweet coffeish end.

A dark clear reddish brown ale with a thick moka head. A skunked coffee aroma of espresso with light metallic notes. In mouth, a light watery stout, with light chocolate bitterness, pathetic and sad. No body whatsoever. Tasted in late nov. 2006. Bottle from Presario.

Thanks to Mark for the bottle! Poured very deep brown with just a feathery dusting of tan head. The aroma picked up sweeter coffee notes upfront with a light roast to it.. faint herbal and woody accents. The flavor had a little darker slant on the coffee paired with burnt black patent malts.. dry-roast on the edges and a little medicinal sourness.. short coffee and metallic finish. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate with low carbonation.. OK feel for a lighter stout.

Bottle (341ml). Shared with blankboy and biegaman, blankboy’s bottle via trade with CapFlu. Clear weak-looking chestnut, small tan head - stout? Really? Incredibly weak aroma - slightly sour and astringent coffee-ish aroma - like twice-stepped on cheap near-espresso, some stale nutshell and grain. Taste - what there is of it - is like coffee-flavoured bubblegum, a little bitter but ultimately nothing. Thin, pretty flat, moderately astringent, not a nice bitter aftertaste - bleh. Go grab yourself a real coffee stout.
