Commercial Description:
Brewed with a combination of roasted barley malts and freshly ground espresso beans to produce a rich robust flavour. The intense coffee flavour is delicious on its own or as a perfect compliment to chocolate. Holiday favourites such as Christmas cake and plum pudding go very well with this unique dessert beer.

Black with hints of sugar brown around the edge; head diminishing rapidly and then gone. Initial flavour reminiscent of snow in the mouth, a bit of coffee comes through but no sign of a lingering finish. Perfectly drinkable but not as much flavour as I was anticipating...might be a gateway beer for someone afraid of dark beers.

Coffee beans, maybe Kenyan? Dung, and overfresh yeast. Fittingly coffee brown, with light but dark head. Hits the lips sweet with cocoa, then coffee. Some bitter hops enter stage middle and perform to a backdrop of lightly roasted malt. Finish is rather thin but gentle. Feels light on the palate with slightly too much carbonation. Not as heavy or robust as I would have expected.

Thanks to Mark for the bottle! Poured very deep brown with just a feathery dusting of tan head. The aroma picked up sweeter coffee notes upfront with a light roast to it.. faint herbal and woody accents. The flavor had a little darker slant on the coffee paired with burnt black patent malts.. dry-roast on the edges and a little medicinal sourness.. short coffee and metallic finish. Light-medium bodied and dry on the palate with low carbonation.. OK feel for a lighter stout.

A dark clear reddish brown ale with a thick moka head. A skunked coffee aroma of espresso with light metallic notes. In mouth, a light watery stout, with light chocolate bitterness, pathetic and sad. No body whatsoever. Tasted in late nov. 2006. Bottle from Presario.

black pour with a bubbly head that goes away quickly. Lots of carbonation makes it feel cola-ish with cold coffee undertones.

[1051-20080113] Bottle (w/ tuqueboy). Dark malt aroma has a hint of coffee beans. Dark brown body with a quick foamy light tan head. Creamy coffee flavour is mostly malted grains. Medium-full body. Disappointingly uncoffee-like.
