Craft Beer’s Gold Standard
Ever watch the setting sun turn a field of wheat into a blanket of spun gold? Not to worry if you haven’t, we’ve bottled it for you. It’s prairie goodness so pure that no matter where you choose to enjoy it, just close your eyes to find yourself in that field of dreams.

Little Known Fact
Truly a home-grown, honest-to-goodness Albertan beer. All of Grasshopper’s wheat is trucked in from the Lethbridge area, while its delicious barley malt comes exclusively from central Alberta.

Il manque un nez et il est creux. C’est une bière de blé très léger. Il est ambrée pale, pas même proche à être blanche comme une vrai bière de blé.

On tap at Moxi’s. Pours light golden with two finger white head. Wheat, lemon, pepper, straw. Mild sweetness and bitterness. Not the best in the world, but probably the best at Moxi’s.

hay, cereal, grass, citrus, pale, golden, clear, hazy, minimal head, white foam, light sweetness, lightly bitter, light body, slick feel, average carbonation, astringent Spent a summer enjoying this beer years ago. Since I was introduced to German hefe I know better! Golden pour with slight head, citrus is faint (now that I don’t automatically squeeze in the lemon) and a light bitter sweet graininess. Thin mouthfeel with decent carbonation which I still like. Finishes sticky with only slight bitter astringency. Eve though I now prefer "authentic" German weisens, I will always have good memories of this beer!

Pours clear golden yellow with only a few bubbles making a hard to see ring around the glass. Aroma is mostly just light wheat. Flavour is a bit sweet with some wheat. Nothing complex going on here.

Beer pours a golden clear color with a white head. Very little aroma with a small faint wheat taste. A good summer beer that’s good for entry level craft beer enthusiasts.

This beer is very weak. Almost no aroma...a bit of sweet grains. Very bland flavors...a bit of slightly sweet grains...otherwise, nothing. One and done.

Pours a blond straw with a lite white head. Smells like an apple skin with hints of lemon. Light body. The pallet screams lager. Very crisp with not much going on. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Not much going on here. Compare this to a good wheat ale and you’ve got nothing, wheat doesn’t equal blandness.. look at Saskatchewan, after all! Oh... well, not much complexity here, just a muted honey taste mixed up with a smooth wheatiness. I shouldn’t have to use my tongue to lick my mouth’s walls to get rid of the aftertaste though.

Great summer beer. Golden in color. Has an almost caramel finish that stays with you.
