COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Rock is pleased to bring you our newest addition to the family, PALE: India Pale Ale. Historically, the original India Pale Aleís were cask conditioned and heavily hopped to allow the beer to mature on its long voyage from Britain to India. Our dry hopped, fermenter conditioned IPA is brewed in this traditional method. The result is an exceptionally well-balanced, flavourful ale; refined and subtle. In the spirit of refreshing our portfolio, we bid a fond farewell as we phase out Chinook Pale Ale.

Pours a light golden amber with about 1 finger head that dissipates quickly. Not much in the scent. Some malts, biscuity, and grassy hop notes. Taste is same as nose, nothing too special here. Maybe a little orange peel. Not horrible but not too special at all.

Can from the mix pack. Ohhhhh so itís not listed here as an IPA, I was wondering! My friend kept repeating that it tastes like poop until I promised Iíd write that here, I thought that was a bit negative though, itís just not what this market would expect from the advertising. Pours light amber, nose actually does have some hollow citrus flavour, malt seemed clean to me, no flaws, a bit of biscuit, somewhat sticky, sadly... finish was mildly bitter. Cleansed my palate of the Purple Gas at least.

Average brew not as good as i expected. But decent over all. A light gold color. Taste is a light caramel malt with hop bitterness to balance it out. The hop flavour isnít as good as other ipa s Iíve had. The beer almost has a cheap lager taste to it. Ill reach for a bottle of something else before this one

Can: Poured a light yellow color ale with a small foamy head with medium retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of light dry hoppy notes with a light sweet malt backbone. Taste consists of dry hoppy notes with lightly sweet malt backbone. Body is about average as well as carbonation. Definitely short on the hops side of things.

Orange/copper appearance. Thin head. A little lacing. Clean crisp taste. No overpowering flavours. Slightly floral. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355 ml. can, thanks Quintin! Aroma is tin-metal, light hops, and some pine. Taste consists of light hops, some caramel, tin-metal, and light pine. While this IPA lacks in full taste, it is sessionable and smooth.

An excellent alround beer, that has a nice aroma. A complex enough beer without being in your face, quite sessionable....

On tap at masaís between rounds. Pours copper, light head with decent lacing. Grassy shite bouquet. A field of filth on the tongue. Iím not a big fan of this. Not much going on, a malty forward grassy bog stink IPA. Big rock should stick to the Traditional Ale, because thatís good.

Biscuit and light caramel with lightly spicy hops and some light buttery notes in the aroma. Clear orange-golden body is topped by a thin white head that recedes to a partial cover. Fair to moderate bitterness over biscuity malts. Light body is somewhat watery in texture. Can. Just above fridge temperature. Purchased at the BCLS.
