COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Rock is pleased to bring you our newest addition to the family, PALE: India Pale Ale. Historically, the original India Pale Aleís were cask conditioned and heavily hopped to allow the beer to mature on its long voyage from Britain to India. Our dry hopped, fermenter conditioned IPA is brewed in this traditional method. The result is an exceptionally well-balanced, flavourful ale; refined and subtle. In the spirit of refreshing our portfolio, we bid a fond farewell as we phase out Chinook Pale Ale.

Average for a IPA, not enough floral, not enough fruity or hoppy bitter. Pours a straw color, medium head, stingy on the palate and finish, but ok.

can from the beer store, brand new on the shelf so had to try/ IPA ? thats a stretch, maybe Indiana, not India. More of a APA in my book , tasty but way to light for an IPA. Like all the Big Rock stuff safe but right down the middle. Colours good an nice beer not a great beer, OK Iíll drink the other one.

Fatehunter (1178) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - MAR 14, 2014
Pours a finger and half of head on a clear amber colored body. The aroma is pine, mango and pineapple... a bit faint overall though. The taste starts with a mild pine bitterness moving towards a dull dry grapefruit bitter middle and ending. The texture is soft with moderate carbonation. Itís a solid, good IPA.

Burnt, glowing orange colour and a fizzy white cap. Aroma is a mixture of subtle hoppy pine and malty sweetness. More hopping is present in the flavour, but there is still a great balance between malt and hops. Carbonation level is great. Just enough to add some bite without covering any flavours. Awesome session brew, but would be better labelled as a Pale Ale instead of an IPA

A hazed amber IPA with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, sweet caramel malt with piney herbaceous hops, orange pulp, nice. In mouth, a smooth sweet caramel malt with treacle, grassy surranated hops, a tad too much residual sugars but decent.

Pours a clear amber with a small spotty white head and good legs. Aroma is biscuits, sweet malts, and grass. Flavour is metallic, earthy, some citrus, sweet bready malts and a moderate bitterness.

Pours a light golden amber with about 1 finger head that dissipates quickly. Not much in the scent. Some malts, biscuity, and grassy hop notes. Taste is same as nose, nothing too special here. Maybe a little orange peel. Not horrible but not too special at all.

Can from the mix pack. Ohhhhh so itís not listed here as an IPA, I was wondering! My friend kept repeating that it tastes like poop until I promised Iíd write that here, I thought that was a bit negative though, itís just not what this market would expect from the advertising. Pours light amber, nose actually does have some hollow citrus flavour, malt seemed clean to me, no flaws, a bit of biscuit, somewhat sticky, sadly... finish was mildly bitter. Cleansed my palate of the Purple Gas at least.

Average brew not as good as i expected. But decent over all. A light gold color. Taste is a light caramel malt with hop bitterness to balance it out. The hop flavour isnít as good as other ipa s Iíve had. The beer almost has a cheap lager taste to it. Ill reach for a bottle of something else before this one
