Interesting concept. Basically an ale kicked up with some Chai. Pours clear dark amber. Little head and not much carbonation. Smells of malts, sour and some hints of chai. Smell a Starbucks Chai Latte. Taste is malty grains, sweet and finishing with a chai taste. Not great but offers you something different. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

"Watery chai flavoured beer" I can’t disagree with that comments. This wasn’t for me but a few others were diggin it.

[6188-20140221] Bottle. Fragrant chai malt and exotic spices aroma. Clear, golden amber syrup body with a medium-lasting foamy off-white head. Grainy gingerbread and chai spiced flavour. Medium body. Interesting, comes together a little. (6/3/6/3/11) 2.9

Tastes like chai tea, which is interesting but a little goes a long way. Glad this was my wife’s beer and I was just sampling it.

Golden color, clean, with compact head. Spicy aroma, evident but not too strong, pumpkin pie, cinnamon and cookies. Smooth mouthfeel; sweetish flavor, the spices are evident but not disturbing; delicate fruity touch; lowish bitterness. Short final.
Funny beer.

Visual: Pours clear copper brown, a small dissipating head, thin ringed retention, clusters of fast streams. Nose: cinnamon/nutmeg spiced malts, slightly metallic (6/10-pungency) Attack: sweet-crispness, bright fizzy Mid-palate: thin-watery mouthfeel + tingly, (6/10)-malty sweetness, (MAIN) toffee/caramel malts, clove/cinnamon, (hint) coriander dryness Finish: malty metallic sweetness, light cola malty sweet fizzy finish. Summary: This drinks rather thin-bodied but has decent flavours in the mids. The finish is lackluster and doesn’t leave much of a positive impression. Average at best.

2014-02-21. Crisp dark golden amber body is near headless. Pleasant aroma of chai spices and mild malt below that. Flavour is similar, chai spice over sweet lightly caramel malt core, the spices lends a bitterness to the aftertaste. Smooth average plus palate, light carbonation. Better than expected. A disappointingly un-chai-like aroma. I was expecting some great exotic spices in the aroma but there was none to be found. I did smell some banana, which was weird. A pretty average taste. A slightly spicy finish but definitely not chai. Overall pretty average. Nothing offensive that would make you want to spit it out, but nothing so noteworthy that it makes you want to buy another one.

341 ml bottle. Clear medium copper, small lasting tan foam head. Pungent spicy resinous aroma. Exotic sweet warm spicy taste, mild c-malt, floral, hints of lemon, mint and smoke. Softer than average carbonation, light-medium bodied, low hopped. Interesting and unique, one of Big Rocks more enjoyable offerings. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)
