COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All winter, Ed McNally nurtures the lime tree in his greenhouse. It reminds him that, every year, for a few short but glorious months, Alberta gets tropical. With so many options (and such a short patio season) Big Rock is proud to offer a fresh, premium light lager that has just a hint of lime. This is the perfect pairing to the flood of summer activities that Canadians will embrace; Big Rock Lime Lager will be the beer of choice for golfers, campers, patio lovers - anyone who is looking for a refreshing crisp beer with lighter alcohol content

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2010 I would like too see a little more lime flavour. As you drink it more it goes down very smooth. But overall needs more flavour, even a beer flavour not a lime, But I guess its a typical light beer, with not really any lime flavour

Bottle [12oz] shared with garthicus, jerc & mabel -- c/o tupalev. Pours a clear pale gold with practically no head. Aroma is vegetal and grainy. Watery flavour of grain, pale malt and a hint of lime. Light bodied. Meh, it is what it is.

From a bottle. Not sure why this one is rated so poorly... not that i’m a big fan of the Lime beers, but this one is by far the most drinkable. Most of the others are way too sweet and taste like coolers... but this one is actually tasty on a hot day if you want a simple light cool beer. I’d even go out on a limb and say if you enjoy the odd Corona with a lime in it, you wouldn’t mind this one at all. So, as a Lime flavored beer - it does alright.

355 ml can in mixed 15-pack from TBS, served cold in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear light golden with a small white rim. Aroma: Light, minerals, slight cereal/grain, a touch of grassy hops, a bit of lime, but in a fairly natural and surprisingly restrained way, that’s about it. Palate: Medium-light body, medium carbonation. Flav.: Cereal/light biscuit malt, a little wet hay and wheat, some decently authentic lime; dry with a touch of bitterness and a very light cereal and touch ’o lime finish.

Not as in-your-face dish soap lime/citrus as other, similar products. Still not much fun, but perhaps the lesser of so many evils.

Can BC Liquor Stores Sampler Pack. Pours pale straw yellow with no head. Faint aroma of lime. Light bodied with subtle citrus notes. Went down like water, which is perhaps the point. Perhaps a higher score on a hot dusty day.
