COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
All winter, Ed McNally nurtures the lime tree in his greenhouse. It reminds him that, every year, for a few short but glorious months, Alberta gets tropical. It pours a straw color with no head to speak of, a pretty boring beer visually. On the nose I am getting some grains and citrus notes. The flavor is pretty low key, I am picking up some grain malts, it has some lime zest in there. A thin watery beer overall. It finishes with some spicy notes which appears to be white pepper that lingers around. I have to say like most of the stuff from these guys it is mediocre.

From a bottle. Not sure why this one is rated so poorly... not that i’m a big fan of the Lime beers, but this one is by far the most drinkable. Most of the others are way too sweet and taste like coolers... but this one is actually tasty on a hot day if you want a simple light cool beer. I’d even go out on a limb and say if you enjoy the odd Corona with a lime in it, you wouldn’t mind this one at all. So, as a Lime flavored beer - it does alright.
