Can from the mix pack. Pours yellow. Aroma is alright on the hop front (though muted) with lemon and flowers, malt comes through in the flavour

On tap at GKBF.
Grainy sweet nose with a dash of honey. Soft round carbonation. The taste is crackery biscuit & honey sweetness. Surprising good.

473 ml bottle from the beer store. Terrible spoiled beer. The can exploded all over my kitchen. Big qc issues here.

2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Pours clear with a golden colour with white head. Aroma is filled with floral hops, sweet hay, cereal and a touch of earthyness. Sweet finish, cereal and hay are dominant flavour and has very little in terms of hops. not a good example of this style.

Well, nice colour and easy drink. but that’s all. not exact flavour I expected. top head disappeared too soon. Top note is a little bit bitter and gone it to flatness. needs more pilsner scent and characteristics!!!

473 ml can purchased singly from Sobeys Liquor and served in a small 11 oz. footed pilsner glass. Pours golden yellow with moderate carbonation and a cream-white head that retreats to leave very little lacing. Aroma is malt, cereal grains, and citrusy hops tinged with pine. Flavor is rather lacking, consisting of watered-down light sweet grains, lemon, and a mildly bitter finish. Thin-bodied and a little slick. Not offensive, yet I expected more of a pilsner and got a pale lager instead.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours clear gold with a small white top. Aroma is light grain and light fruity hop. Taste is light, crisp, clean and refreshing. I would love some more grian and hop profile but this is very easy drinking.

Its an interesting beer. It has a hoppy aftertaste with a bitter bite but, its not very strong. Its aroma is of cloves and metal. The beer came in a mixer pack of cans i bought a year ago.

1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Visual: Part of a variety 12-pack, aluminum cans. Pours clear golden apple juice yellow, smallish bubbly quickly dissipating head, a super thin layer of retention, lots of singular steady streams.
Nose: musky barley malt, hints of shellfish. (lvl-3)-pungency
Attack: palate numbness, crisp-fizzy
Mid-palate: (lvl-5)-sweetness, (MAIN) malt liquor, barley malt, yeasty, hints of red apple,
Finish: clean soft bitter hops, fading body, fizzy-tingly hopped bitter finish.
Summary: Extremely non-enticing with a shellfish nose. Way better brews out there, why bother?

Been thinking about pilsners lately. How maybe its time for a craft brew renaissance, mix a bit of the old world with new world & come up something more exciting than the ipa session beers that are taking over the taps in hipster joints across the city. Well this beer ain’t the solution. Pours all wrong with an off style soapy cap & smells like beer rot & has that crappy pennies steeped in water flavour profile perfected by steamwhistle in toronto. Sigh. So far Vancouver’s Steamworks pilsner is the high water mark -- from what I can freely access -- for the style in Canada. It’s a void. Somebody brew a neo-pilsner -- or let me know if im missing something.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
473 ml can from The Beer Store. Pours yellow, clear, with white head. Smells hoppy, peppery, floral, apples. Just like the description, mild bitterness upfront on the taste, some fruity notes, grassy malt . Smooth finish. Clean and crisp. Better than I expected.
