Personally not a fan of darker beers, this one very much a flavour with a lot of bite, smoother but still a tiny bit harsh

Very mild overall. Pretty orange amber, small white head. Very little aroma. A bit of bready and toasty malt but very dry overall, low bitterness, light mouthfeel. A bit of astringency as well. Easy to drink but bland.

Can BC Liquor Stores Sampler Pack. Pours reddish brown with thin white head. Faint aroma. Medium body with disproportionate carbonation for beer type. Roast notes some sourness in finish. An improvement on Warthog but still not something I’ll revisit.

341ml bottle from The Beer Store. Pours red, with a nice head. Light malt aroma. Some malt in the flavour, but short on hops, as it was a bit sweet in the finish. Not bad.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 TheHulk (484) - Lethbridge, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 6, 2010
Smells only faintly, some malt but thats about it. Not really too much head, decent lacing. Nice dark red colour but vary clear. Just enough malt to cover the adjuncts in the flavour. Only just. I think it used to be better before it was owend by ... my friend tells me they are still independant, but you’d think they got bought out as the quality has gone down a couple of steps. A bit foamy and creamy, nice malt at the end of the palate, no after palate. Ok, but I remember it being better.
2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Strangebrewer (522) - Chatham, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 2, 2010
can. Poured deep red-copper colour with a beige head. Light sweet grain aroma. Medium body but the texture is generic with active carbonation. A touch roasted caramel malt flavour but nothing outstanding. Finishes dry.
