Bouteille de 341 ml, acheté au LCBO sur Rideau (Ottawa). Ambrée acajoux, mini collet avec peu de dentelle. Arome très caramelisé, malte simple. Goût de malte peu caramelisé, peu amère, peu intéressant!

[469-20070728] Sample @ LCBO-Summerhill. Lightly sweetened smoky grains aroma. Clear, dark amber brown body with a quick foamy white head. Nice grainy background, bland otherwise. Smooth medium body. Nice blend. (6/3/5/4/12) 3.0

[823B-20071105] Tap @ Amsterdam Rhino (Calgary, AB). Aroma has a bit of grainy malt. Clear, dark amber red body with a medium-lasting creamy off-white head. Sugary yeast flavour with a bit of hay in the background. Medium body. Nice, a little sweet. (6/3/7/4/13) 3.2

Nice amber colour; moderate hops, moderate maltiness, white head. One of the best mass-produced beers around.

Strong caramel sweetness in the nose along with some fruity esters. Clear amber-brown body is topped by a low off white head that lasts well. Flavour is quite sweet with caramel malts leading to a light bitterness and fruity aftertaste. Medium light body with decent carbonation but somewhat watery texture. Sampled on tap in the Maple Leaf Lounge at Edmonton Airport.

This was the free beer provided by a participant at the 2006 hockey pool. Decent aroma, but nothing to write home about. Slightly malty. The colour was an almost reddish colour. It felt ’perky’ on the tongue, but the favour didn’t thrill me.

Pours a medium amber-brown with a short-lived soap-sud head and a light aroma of sweet malt & hops. Tastes pleasantly hoppy, but with a sweet crystal malt backbone that overpowers the hops easily. Decently chewy body, very drinkable and better than most draught swill.
