rugbyboy99 (15), Canada Jul 17, 2001 My personal favourite! All around the best beer out there! JAF737300 (791), Tampa, Florida, USA Apr 13, 2006 This is a simple well balanced beer that will make you happy. I have loved this brewery and beer for 10+ years and wish I could get it in NY!!!! wollenscke (3), Ontario, Canada does not count Aug 15, 2006 A personal favourite. Great pub style pint. Sweeter than the average dark ale. Cavie (1317), Fort Worth, Texas, USA Jul 17, 2009 Wow so I wasn’t expecting this. Ruby pour. Some hops on the nose. Darker malts as well. Creamy mouthfeel. Amazing taste. A great mix of sweet malts with the spice of hops. Leaves a pleasant aftertaste as well. Superb. John Wentworth99 (10), Canada Sep 3, 2001 What a misnomer ’Traditional’ is...it could be taken to mean standard, boring, run-of-the-mill, and Traditional is none of these. There’s nothing like a Trad after working outside on a hot Albertan afternoon. Tastes best with friends. opiate (199), Sandy, Utah, USA Dec 7, 2003 My dad brought me a bottle of this when he returned from a recent business trip.
Pretty good pick considering the fact that he doesn't drink. This is what I'd call a "salt of the earth" type of beer. A very solid beer. Very little to complain about. I mean...it's got a great balance of malt and hops. It's a pretty beer. Very clean tasting. Sure...it doesn't have all the "bells and whistles" of some Belgian beers or Imperial Stouts. But this is a solid beer. This is my definition of a terrific "every day" beer! LuciferSam99 (3), Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada does not count Feb 16, 2002 Nice tasting ale that goes down very well. Tessic (439), Brantford, Ontario, Canada Jan 19, 2004 This beer pours a clear reddish copper and has a nice white creamy head. Scents are of caramel and malts. The initial taste consisted of sugar, caramel and medium roasted malts. The flavour finish is of a slightly sweet/bitter taste and a smooth malty palate. One of my favs from Big Rock!
