Not as good out of a bottle or can, but an excellent option on tap. Great balance of malt and hops, lovely appearance, and nice toffee aroma. LordBeamish (144), Boozetown, Ontario, Canada

Lot’s of malty flavourings with a hint of sweetness. A perfect autumn beer. Nice dark amber colour with white head. Very tasty. I actually pounded this one back almost too fast to rate it properly. I may have to re-rate soon to give it real justice. A nice taste to it. Definitely another personal favorite from Big Rock. Its a nice bitterness on the palate, but a softening taste prevails if you let it stay on your tongue for a second. A nutty taste will hit the back of your throat as well. terrybail (340), London, Ontario, Canada

Ok so i have had maybe a thousand of these or so over the years it was my beer of choice for a long time so i have a abit of a soft spot for this one.
funny how after sampling a lot of different beers how this seems thinner and lighter than i remember
Pours a nice coppery red with a small tan head little to no lacing
The aroma is malty and sweet caramel
The taste is sweeter than i remember still quite good though malty with a dry finish

Poured with a small, off-white head that disappeared quite quickly to a haze on top of the beer. No lacing. Body was very clear, and dark amber in color. I enjoyed the aroma... light malt and hops, with something else quite pleasant that I couldn’t put my finger on. Body was light to medium on the palate, and slightly oily/creamy, with lively carbonation. Nice flavor that starts off slightly sweet, but finishes with a light bitterness, yet short duration. Overall a pretty enjoyable beer that would make a good session ale (although there seems to be some confusion from different sources over exactly what class of beer this is).
