Pours a clear dark hazelnut colour with a clinging tan head. Smells of citrusy hops and . Mouth feel is very lightly carbonated, and oily. Taste is nutty roasty. Full of malts and some toffee. Finishes off sweet and smooth with a barely there bitter. Not too bad at all. Only problem is the aroma doesn’t seem to match the taste.

Tastes of caramel, apples, a touch of spice, and that’s about it. Watery feel, pleasant but nothing great. AWS9 (145), Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Oct 24, 2008 Bottle. Some Malt, caramel. Maybe a little thin. Unremarkable amber ale, but nothing offensive by any means, so pretty good. mbgrayson (66), Anaconda, Montana, USA Oct 22, 2008 A basic amber type ale. Moderately drinkable. Not one that I would go out of my way for. ILduce (115), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sep 7, 2008 Bottle: Amber. Aromas of sweet malt. Fruity with a toasty likeness...a hint of grapefruit and raisin. Watery; just a trifle dry. Unimaginative . Aubrey (2643), Denver, Colorado, USA Aug 29, 2008 Draft in Waterton Lakes: Deep copper-amber hue with a decent head. Lively carbonation; smooth, easy-to-drink palate. Lightly roasted and toasted and grainy. Light bitterness and hint of sourness. Faint sweetness (toffee). Herbal bitterness. Like a Fat Tire Lite.
