Big Rock Unity Brew

Please join us on November 19th for the one-day event whereyou can experience brewers in action creating a brew to raise funds for charities. It’s that time of year again where Alberta Breweries get together to create a special brew in just one day and donate the kegs to charities of their choice. You may ask howmuch good can one brew really do? In 2010, Unity Brew had 10 breweries, 20 brewers plus guests and raised $7,000 for the Kidney Foundation of Alberta, 1400 pounds of food went to the Canmore and Jasper food banks, $1,200 donated to the Canmore food bank and $2,000 to the World Cup Academy. Michele Lowney from Grizzley Paw Brewery in Canmore, Alberta, started Unity Brew in 2009 as a way to get the brewers in Alberta together and brew a beer for charity. The breweries participating in this years brew are Big Rock Brewery, Wild Rose Brewery, Brew Brothers, Alley Kat, Drummond, Banff Ave Brewing, Jasper Brewing Co., Grizzly Paw Brewing Company and Brewsters Brewing Company.
