Caramel malt and grassy bitter hops in quickly fading flavour. Thin.
2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 probstk (1911) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 24, 2010
355 ml can in mixed 15-pack from TBS, served cold in a tulip glass.
App.: Clear fairly deep amber (BROWN ale??) with a decent light tan-orange head.
Aroma: Terrible aroma of pig shit...honestly, nutty, earthy, tangy, a little toffee, some brown sugar, kinda sweet, biscuit and bread crust, grows on me as it warms, much less manure.
Palate: Medium body, fairly restrained carbonation.
Flav.: Cardboard, no manure (thank GOD), very little of the malt notes in the nose, sparse, restrained, stern; dry with little to no bitterness, blah.
Offensive leads to fair, followed by boring.

Not abad beer, a little plain and boring though. Roasted malts aroma, nuts, toffee. Plain oily roasty flavour. Not too much here at all.
