Light, Irish ale aroma, mostly dark caramel malts. The flavor is all sweet, with slightly nutty, but mostly crystal malts. Pretty thin palate.

Bottle to bock glass Lemon, hay, cheese, and straw. Clear light yellowish amber with a thin creamy white head. Taste is straw, hay, and a touch of funk. This is quite thin.

Bottle - Pale malts and earthy hops. Clear gold with a decent white head. Sweet pale malts and not much else. Not much like a mild, more of an English ale or golden ale.

Bottle. Musty malt aroma, some nuts? Taste has a bit of caramel. fairly mild but has more flavour than most mass produced fare.

Can. Golden amber pour, virtually no head. I'm beginning to get the impression that most Big Rock beers are based on the same recipe - this one smells nearly identical to at least a few other Big Rock brews, most surprisingly their "IPA." Malt, light candied fruit and caramel with a slightly herbal note. Light bodied and easy drinking, low carbonation. Not a terrible brew, but by no means a passable brown ale. Can was labelled an English Mild, which makes more sense. Very mild, and pretty neutral.

Despite this and every other site Iíve seen labeling this a brown ale, Big Rock themselves now claim this is mild, which makes sense since it was pretty mild and not at all brown. Bad for a brown, marginal for a mild.

330 ml bottle. Pours a clear, light copper colour with a small, short lived off-white head. Aroma is caramel malt. Flavour is sweet with caramel and toffee. Light body, watery texture and soft carbonation.

Brilliant amber pour. Aroma is sweet grain, mild caramel, wet grass. More sweet grain in the body with light caramel notes and a light earthy hop finish. Easy drinking.

22oz bottle (Old Notes)-Pours a light copper with a small head. Aromaof malt, caramel, and slight hops. Taste of the same. This light to medium bodied brew was a disappointment.

Pours a half finger of head on a hazy dark straw colored body. The aroma is musty, barnyard like with sour lemon in the background. The taste is sweet and grainy. Thereís a mild lemon bitterness in the background. The texture is crisper with moderate carbonation. Itís okay, tends sweet. Itís sweet like a Scotch Ale.

"Poured into glass, a thin layer of head, creamy. A light amber appearance. The aroma is pretty strong, of wheats and malts. lacing is ok. Flavour is hints of caramel, roasted malts, and something burnt haha. Not too bad, mixed emotions with the aroma (somethingís off, canít quite pinpoint). First time trying this beer, drank directly from bottle. It glass, aromas escape, and doesnít sit with me well. Might keep drinking from bottle :(
