COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Big Shoulders Winter Fire is a Belgian-style ale crafted with a subtle fruity aroma, golden straw color and a deceptively smooth palate. Brewed in the abbey tradition, this strong ale is fermented with brewers sugar which creates a sensation of warmth in the finish. Belgian-style beers are internationally celebrated for their distinct and intricate tastes and this beer is no exception.

Had this beer on 9/14/1999. Color is a pale gold. Taste starts with a light body then goes down easy. Finish is lightly sweet with a bite like a Hefe. This is followed by a mild hop bitterness And flavor. This bottle was over two years old but it still was not a bad beer.

12oz bottle dated 12/96 on label. A slightly cloudy golden color with a very small ring of a head. Aroma of nothing. Taste of sweetness, honey, a slight belgiany taste finishing with an old beer taste. Once again was a good beer when fresh.
