COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
For centuries, shepherds have been hoisting a pint during the chilly Christmas season to warm their bones and wish for "Peace on Earth, good will toward men!" Not just for a select few, but all everyone. All Souls. This beer is our salute to that sentiment. Its syle is Saison - a golden fruity "seasonal" for the working man. Its strength is imperial - an 11% wonder, fit for a King! And all profits go to Imagine Missoula. A grassroots nonprofit meeting real needs here in Missoula. Lean how you can get involved at ImagineMissoula.org. (limited release of 1200 bottles)

Bottle thanks to Kyle. Pours orange. Off white head. Nose/taste of orange rind, spicy hops, lemon grass, yeast, honey and black licorice. Sweet mouth feel. Fullish body. Alcohol well masked by intense orange rinds and honey.

On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a hazed golden body and a big and lasting white head. Very nice lace. Aromas are strong with lemon, orange, pepper, yeast, alcohol and banana. Flavors are once again big, with lemon peel, some acidity, boozy, and somehow still somewhat dry (somehow!). Very floral. Light bubbles, with some acidity. A touch on the sticky side.

In short: An overly sweet fruity blonde ale. Meh
How: Bottle 750ml. Bottle #975. Consumed almost 1 year after the beer release (I’m assuming it was only brewed once). Bottle sent to me by Savvy1982, not your fault Kyle!
The look: Cloudy peach color body topped by a persistent creamy white head
In long: Nose is sweet apples, some phenols, dry grass, dust. Taste is sickeningly sweet, uber-sweet canned fruits (pears, peaches, etc) along with the juice they swim in, sweetened orange peels, some booze, refined white sugar. There seems to be something fun and maybe rustic happening with the yeast but the sweetness overwhelms everything. While attempting to drink this bottle I took a sip from the glass of the regular La Chouffe my wife was drinking and La Chouffe felt bone dry (and La Chouffe is really not bone dry). Just when you think that McDonald’s and country music were the worst creations in American history, someone decides to make a disgustingly sweet boozy 11% Saison and someone else record a Christmas country songs album.

Bottle thanks to Toby, you are the man! Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A sweet sugary fruity nose. The flavor is spicy as you’d expect from a Saison, some dry yeast, a lively body, but the sweetness is too much, lacks a bit of balance and easy drinking that I expect from a Saison. Good though.

[4742-20120818] 1pt9.3 bottle. Malty whiskey sweet oak aroma. Clear, amber brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Boozy sweet roasted malt flavour. Full boozy body. Interesting. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

UPDATED: AUG 20, 2012 Draft at brouwers with Linh and Nhi. Pours a clear amber with light white lacing. Aroma is sweet Malta and sugar. Mouthfeel is thin with notes of booze, sweet malts and perfume. Ah!

Clear, vigorous carbonation. Loose white head. Smells sweetish, lightly sugary and spicy. Tastes sweet, way too heavy, and some boozy, spicy, herbal notes. To quote Photokut, tastes like you’re trying to drink incense.
