On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a clear brown-bronze body with a lasting off-white head. Aroma is nutty, brown sugar, belgian yeast, hazelnuts, and roasted chestnuts. Flavors are nutty and quite estery with further notes of pickled ginger, chestnuts and chocolate. Medium to high carbonation and a bit on the sweet side of things.

Reddish brown color, off white head. Nutty aroma, light cocoa, bread. Flavor is pretty awful. Very sweet, cloying almost. Light nuttiness. Not worth drinking at all.

Bottle. Pours brown with a bit of tan head. Aromas of caramel, malt, toast. Pretty straightforward brown ale, not bad.

@Victors Fantasy Tasting-12oz bottle-pours a dissipating light tan head and copper color. Aroma is sweet medium malt, spice, medium fruit. Taste is sweet medium malt-cocoa, spice/grassy hops, medium fruit. Drying finish.

Bottle thanks to Victor at Paul’s tasting. Pours brown. Tan head. Nose/taste of smoked caramel malt, toasted bread, light cocoa and maple. Belgian yeast in the taste. Medium body.

Bottle at Victor’s bracket box tasting at Paul’s. Pours a clear light brown with a thin white head. Sweet toast, malt and caramel. Medium bodied, quite sweet, caramel and toast. Long slow caramel and a soft toasty bitterness.

Bottle. Poured into a tulip glass a dark copper reddish color with an off white head that quickly settles to collar around the glass. Caramel, slight banana, cinnamon, and clove. The aroma has something in that is offputting to me, can’t put my finger on it, maybe burnt popcorn. Medium mouthfeel. Sweet start and a mix of flavor including; caramel, buttery, and some banana. Not the biggest fan of this one. Little alcohol notes. Some lace. The look and the mouthfeel are the only good qualities, all else fails for me. After several sips, I dumped this one out.

big sky belgian brown. Scotch ale color...clear reddish brown with a soft sandy head. A+f are nutty, yeasty, caramel, a touch of smoke (yeast?), faint citrus. F has some chocolate and banana-like notes on the finish and AT. A+F of very brown sugar. I’d prolly never drink this again...3.0 MF is creamy...almost annoyingly so. Crisp but a little sludgey. UPDATED: APR 3, 2011 On tap: The aroma consists of roasted nuts and light banana. It pours an orangish-brown with good transparency when held to the light. It has a small off-white head that quickly fades to a thin ring around the edges of the glass. The flavor starts with chocolate along with faint banana and apple. The finish has a light roasted nuttiness. I’m not a fan of the Belgian yeast and nutty combination.

12 ounce bottle thanks to Toby. Pours a dark red-brown color with a medium off-white head. The aroma is mostly a sweet brown ale with some yeast. A nice flavor; leans strongly toward a Belgian Ale, yeasty and sweet, some toasted malts, nutty. Very drinkable. Enjoyable for sure. Quite nice.
