COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
According to Montana legend, deep in the expanse of the Bob Marshal Wilderness there lives a small band of rugged and ferocious.... Chihuahuas. Bobo is the packs’ Alpha Male, and in a word he is ROBUST. So naturally we thought he deserved his own delicous Robust Porter.
A small bottle with big flavor! Brewed with 6 different malts & generously hopped. Robust doesn’t really begin to describe this beer. Smooth chocolate flavors with hints of coffee, caramel, and vanilla. Hop presence is copious and is matched by rich malt flavors.

Bottle. Dark brown with golden highlights. Quite a chocolatey porter, with some breadcrusts and caramel flavours too. Not a lot hop presence, but I’m not sure about the age of my bottle. Satisfying.

Bottle with thanks to Owen. Pours a very dark brown with a creamy light tan coloured head. Aromas are not overly apparent. Somewhat sweet with some roasted character. Flavours are much the same. Initially kind of sweet before some roasted grain on the finish. Thinnish mouthfeel. A little underwhelmed to be honest.

So this guy poured a solid motor oil with off white head. It smelled of sweet chocolatey coffee and tasted much the same. It’s body seemed a little thin for how rich the flavor was, but overall a really enjoyable beer. I’d have it again for sure. As with most beers I really enjoy out of the bottle, I’d want to give the tap a go!

cola with fading tan head. Aroma/flavor are light roastiness/coffee, a light-to-moderate dose of neutral sweetness, making it resemble a milk stout, some bittering hops. Other than this, the beer did not make a lasting impression. I don’t think it should be termed a "robust" porter. The body was light than I would have liked, and the flavor should have been fuller. Meh.

Pours a dark brown color, tan head. Smell is very roasty and chocolatey. Taste is much the same, roasted malts and chocolate. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, I like this beer a lot one of Big Skys better regular beers.

12oz. bottle. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate, light fruitiness and faint caramel and vanilla, along with burnt sugar and smoke in the background. Black in color with a lasting, fine, uneven, tan head. Flavor is roasty and full of dark chocolate sweetness throughout, with suggestions of coffee and black bread, some herbal, earthy, spicy hop flavors and finishing with a moderate dosage of drying hop bitterness and lingering roasted malt character. Appropriately sharp and effervescent on the palate with a medium-full body. This is a pretty tasty and true to style Robust Porter, certainly worth a try for any fans of the style.

One of Big Sky’s best releases. Very rich porter with a dark malty finish. Rich in flavor but not much of a top.

from the Big Sky sampler pack, pours black with a medium creamy tan head. Aroma is big mocha and roasted malts with some burnt sugar as well. Flavor is big, roasty and dry with lots of dark coffee and semi-sweet cocoa. Very dry finish. Top notch porter.

Beer pours very dark brown with a tan colored head. Aroma is very roasty with nuts and chocolate. Taste is sweet with a bitter finish. This is quite a delicious beer. Good job Big Sky!

Bottle. Aroma of coco and roasted malts. Gorgeous pour: black color with a nice tan head and bad ass lacing. Tastes as good as it looks, flavors of dark chocolate, coffee, with a crisp resin finish. Alcohol is hidden very well and it’s smooth on the palate. All in all, this is truly a robust brew, don’t pass it up!
