COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
According to Montana legend, deep in the expanse of the Bob Marshal Wilderness there lives a small band of rugged and ferocious.... Chihuahuas. Bobo is the packs’ Alpha Male, and in a word he is ROBUST. So naturally we thought he deserved his own delicous Robust Porter.
A small bottle with big flavor! Brewed with 6 different malts & generously hopped. Robust doesn’t really begin to describe this beer. Smooth chocolate flavors with hints of coffee, caramel, and vanilla. Hop presence is copious and is matched by rich malt flavors.
Malts: Pale, Crystal, Chocolate, Brown and Black, Roast.
Hops: East Kent Goldings, Challenger.

Tasted from a 12oz. bottle. It poured an opaque brown with a light brown/beige head with lightly streaky lacing. Aroma of semisweet roasted malt with a hint of vanilla. Taste of roasted malt, coffee and coco.

"a nice offering from Big Sky, if not one of their best (i’ll hafta check)...definitely one of the better 6-packs. aroma and flavor robust as advertised, mainly roast & chocolate, with hints of smoke, licorice and maybe coffee. not bad on the feel either."

Pours an opaque black with a finger sized head of creamy brown foam. Nose is of malt and chocolate. Very creamy on the palate with a fairly thick viscosity. Taste is full of chocolate, coffee, malt, toffee. A hint of hops on the finish. An excellent porter that pairs well with smoked chicken.

@ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Opaque black color, steady 1" dark tan head, foamy bands of lace. Taste is full-bodied roasted malt that adds caramel early and coffee/chocolate late in the palate, before yielding to a bitter edge for good balance in the finish. This is a porter with a really big body that is nearly overwhelming on a hot day. Probably better on a cool evening.

Pours dark black with light tan head. Smell is roast acidic coffee and charred malt with a light milky scent. Taste is roasty malt, coffee, chocolate and pretty smooth malt and slightly short of burnt with a faint milky creaminess. Medium body and highly drinkable. Medium prickly carbonation. The flavor is spot on as is the body and carbonation. One of the better porters I?ve had.

[Bottle] Deep brown pour with a rocky light brown cap on top. Milk chocolate, burnt caramel and distinct vanilla notes in the nose. Taste is of mocha, dark chocolate and heavy roasted malts. Mild herbal hops and astringent grains in the finish. Chalky mouthfeel. Tasting notes from early 2012.

Pours a beautiful oil black with a nice dark khaki head that hangs around for a few minutes leaving decent lacing. Aromas of coffee, chocolate, roasted malts. Nice nose. Smooth mouthfeel med carbonation. Tastes of chocolate, toffee, hint of hops. Good porter. Will have again.

12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Pours a jet black, with a moderate brown head that slowly dissipates, leaving fair lacing. Aroma is mostly coffee, chocolate, and dark malt. Taste follows the nose, with a very pleasant coffee and chocolate flavor. Creamy mouth feel with a long, clean finish. Very good.

Mighty fine brew. Pours used motor oil black. Roasty malt and coffee aroma. Amazing roasted malt and chocolate taste. Very good beer. One of my favorite porters.
