Cloudy gold, limited white head. Yeasty nose, slightly bitter. Not quite ripe melon & pepper in the middle, a little flat. Finish is dry...missing something.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Twelve ounce bottle, a limited release. Pours a cloudy golden color, with a long lasting white head. Aroma is thinly of hops. Taste is typical of a Saison. Good flavor, but this isn’t my favorite style. Thumbs up.

Clear Yellow Color, with Huge Long Lasting Foamy Head that Leaves Lots Of Lacing. Citrus, Wheat sour, yeast, light bitter finish. Light Body. Just OK for me.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bright Orange-yellow only slightly cloudy. It looks filtered. Quick dissipating white head some legs. Aroma of Belgian yeast, co2, and alcohol comes across like markers. Taste is good though with bubblegum and banana. Slight funk going on as well. Watery mouthfeel. Would be great on a hot day in lieu of budweiser.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours hazy gold with a huge white head that lingers around for a while. Bread and citrus aroma with some spice. Not much carbonation. Feels flat on the palate with some light hop bitterness. Finishes clean.

Pour to snifter. Light, golden color. Nothing complex--thin on fruit or spiciness. Just OK.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Had it on tap at Owen & Engine, poured a clear yellowish hue, with even lacing and slight but lasting head. The taste is very saisony, with a smooth finish.very middle of the road.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
From bottle. Murky gold pour with some decent white head and lacing. Nose is sweet with some spice. Taste is in line with the nose. Clean finish. Not bad, but a bit too sweet and a little thin.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
$7.20 for a 6’er of this at WinCo of all places... Great deal! Pours into my HotD goblet with a 2 finger white head.. nice retention, but only splotchy lacing... the brew is hazed straw golden.
The aromas are only okay in the traditional saison realm.. grainy/wheat malt presence.. I guess some minor peppery phenols, but no real fruity esters.. seems too malt dominant for a "saison". Could use any sort of Belgian esters.
Very grainy on the palate.. not as dry on the palate as expected for the style.. light yeasty peppery quality.. perhaps some minor clove and even some bandaid. Wheat malt lays down a minor (very minor) tartness, but there is no yeasty sour notes to speak of.
Body is thick for a saison.. the residual malts left on the palate accentuate this... and the carbonation isn’t really that good either.
Despite all my above negatives, I see what the good folks at Big Sky were trying to accomplish and I would suggest a very different yeast.
But for what this is, it is very, very refreshing and unlike anything the other breweries have in the cooler right now.... I will certainly buy it again... This should have been released in late spring.. Late night fire-pit parties, afternoon yard-work, and camping/fishing/hot-springing with an interesting/individual brew.
Decent... I see the bones; but this should have been more adventurous and it would have been great (especially in a 6-pack).
