Bottle 35,5 cl. Courtesy of Doodler. Pours a clear reddish brown with a dissipating light brown head. Some vanilla and coffee in the nose. Medium body, dryish, chocolate accents and again quite some coffee - but never heavily roasted or burned. But quite pleasant and easygoing - if somewhat light. 160513

Bottled sample. Black in colour with moderate carbonation. Smells like a mocha milkshake with notes of coffee, dark chocolate and vanilla. Flavours are of medium roast coffee, olive, toasted malt, and toasted nuts. A touch thin on the palate, with some coffee bitterness. Solid overall.

Bottle:   Deep brown, moderate to large frothy beige head, fairly nice lacing.   Not getting a terribly strong coffee nose.   Comes across as more of a musty cocoa, and even a bit of earthiness.   Its like it
reminds me of coffee beans before they are roasted.   Moderate and semi-sweet roastiness up front, but unfortunately to me its like watered down coffee.   Decent malt base, a bit creamy, cream and sugar, but missing the core
roastiness.   I had the Bridgeport Negro Porter right before this and thought it was much more coffee oriented.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Light finish, again with some watered down coffee.   I don’t drink a lot
of coffee, but this seemed like a regular old porter to me, with a bit of coffee.   Hops were on the low side.   Meh...

Pours black with tan head. Aroma is coffee dominate with hints of chocolate. Flavor I’d much the same with a nice dark roast/coffee bitter and dry. Light-medium mouth feel with high carbonation. Overall, solid brew"
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 kevinator (324) - The Colony, Texas, USA - APR 19, 2013
Well done coffee porter. Aromas are up front coffee, sweet malt and some chocolate. Dark cafe color with smallish off-white head. Creamy palate with some weight but not too heavy. The flavors blended well with coffee being the dominant followed by maltiness with a little bit of roasted. A little bit of chocolate milk as well. Not sure if this had lactose or not. Good spin on a porter.
