Dark brown with small bubbles, looks thicker. Aromas of malts, milk, muddiness, and only minimal coffee. Moderately sweet with a slight bitter finish. Medium body with a foamy feel.

A - Great looking beer. Very dark black with darker tan head. Lacing is okay. S - Strong coffee aroma with chocolate hints. T - Nice example of a coffee porter. Not too strong on the coffee taste. Nothing really stands out though. A little bit of nuttiness. M - Mouthfeel leaves a little to be desired. Body is lighter than I would have like. Carbonation is also a little lighted than I would have liked. Dryer finish is nice. This is where the beer could improve. O - A good drinkable coffee porter. Not too intense and good balance. Maybe makes a good coffee session beer, if there is a such thing. Good enough to have once, probably wonít be revisiting for a while.

Strong coffee taste. Not too different from a coffee stout. Overall another strong entry from Big Sky.

Bottle. Pretty much a black pour with a small spotty khaki head. Coffee and slight lactose in this. Smooth and fairly heavy palate. Delicious.

Inky black pour. Nose is straight coffee, medium roast, soy, bittersweet chocolate. Flavor is light BBQ, smoke, coffee, ash, earth and tar. Low carbonation with a long duration.

Smooth coffee aroma and flavor but not overdone. Nice roasted malts and slight spice and a hint of chocolate. Enjoyable finish. Thin bodied overall, but good for the end of the night.

12oz bottle. Good pour, nice black color, small head burns off, opaque, slight lacing. Delicious aroma, strong coffee & malt. Coffee taste is good, not too bitter, just right. Lacks a bit on palate, not as rich as others Iíve had. Iím not sure if it will wake me up or put me to sleep. Very good.

Bottle - Deep brown pour with a massive foamy tan head. Nose is a bit milky, with medium roast mocha, a little nuttiness, vanilla, and a touch of metal. Taste is roughly the same, though the coffee doesnít pop. Itís more like coffee grounds than fresh brewed coffee. It melds well with the porter though to create a bitter, mocha goodness. A tad watery at times, but with nice vanilla sweetness and a pleasant roasty finish. A little watery body with just enough carbonation. Overall itís a solid, straight-up coffee porter without much going on. And thatís just fine, because itís pretty tasty.

Bottle to pint glass. Very understated aroma; one would expect more of a coffee porter. The very first sniff was enjoyable, though I struggled to identify why once the dust settled. Light brown head dissipates quickly to a film, and maintains as such for a few sips. A generally pleasant porter, but this one lacks the rich, robust attributes that coffee often imparts. An appreciable balance in terms of initial sweetness fading to understated dryness. Such a transition account for a good mouthfeel, if a bit thin.
