Serving: from bottle--purchased at Full Throttle Bottles. Aroma: moderate, chocolate/coffee aroma. Appearance: very small, light-brown, initial head that instantly disappeared. No lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Dark, reddish-brown body. Taste: light chocolate/coffee initial flavor and lightly acidic and roasty finish with long duration. Palate: medium bodied with dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: this is an outstanding porter. Great aroma with a flavor to match. I’d like to try it from the tap.

12 oz bottle poured opaque with a large creamy head. Unappealing aroma suggests the beer is past its prime, but this doesn’t carry over to the flavor where dark roasted malts dominate. Coffee and dark chocolate are also present. Creamy smooth, relatively lively feel.

Decent coffee, but lighter than expected mouthfeel for a porter. Dark brown, OK aroma. Not so drinkable. Extra from Steve in Michigan.

Sun Devil bottle. Pour a very dark brown color with a medium brown head. Nice aroma of milk chocolate and light coffee. Very nice flavor with light coffee at first, a little chocolate in the middle and finishes with dry espresso and a hint of bitterness. Nice.

12 fl. oz. bottle courtesy of Eyrish. Hueless darkest brown, fading beige head. Aroma of coffee beans and roasted chocolate malt. Bittersweet roasted dark malt taste, lots of coffee and some chocolate. Soft carbonation, body is a bit thin, lightly hopped. Pretty solid, but I won’t be moving to Montana soon. Yippee-Ty-O-Ty-Ay. Bottle from Sun Devil Liquors. Pours black with a khaki head. Has a bit of lacing in the glass. Big coffee on the nose. Has a bit of sweetness on the tongue along with the coffee and roasted malt. Finishes clean. Nice!

Pours dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is coffee and dark malt with a hint of bell pepper. Taste follows nose. This is probably better fresher.
