This amazingly complex double clocks in at 100 IBUs (proven with the latest scientific equipment), yet retains a malt backbone amidst hints of lemon peel, brown sugar and zings of white pepper. Malts: Pale and Crystal. Hops: Palisade, Simcoe, Centennial & Amarillo.

The taste inside has me thinking "bafoogy put your beard back on", but the goat on the cover makes me think of Blatz. So there is that. Or not.

12oz bottle thanks to the cousin in the barrio - pours unfiltered pale amber with offwhite head. Nose is caramel and resin with citrus. Flavor adds nothing. Bitter indeed with a sweet backbone. Reminds me of Torpedo.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Grapefruit and summer fruit aroma. Tropical fruit and grapefruit flavor. Medium bodied. Decent bitterness. Tropical fruit and grapefruit lingers with light malt.

Pours out a amber topped with a medium white head. Aroma was of grapefruit, floral, sweet caramel, and rich malts. Taste was just the same as the aroma with a good amount of hops leading the way.

like watching a two year old playing excitebike .. . Pours deep gold, lots of foam .. . sap and pine, with a floral undertone .. . not to intense and quite easy to drink, but nothing amazing .. . You don’t win friends with salad.

Sample at Flying Saucer in KC. Pours a clear orange color with a medium off-white head that diminishes to a film quickly. Spotty lacing. Citrusy hops and caramel malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of grapefruity hops, ripe fruit and sweet malt. The finish is moderately hoppy initially and leaves a malty aftertaste. Straightforward IIPA overall.

April Brews Day draft: Decent dbl ipa but it didn’t blow me away. Malts had elements of burnt caramel, roast and toasted bread. Hops had some sweet grass and flower petals. Alcohol warmed the throat. Hop aromas were pleasant but kind of subdued. Not bad at all, just not overly exciting. I prefer the Big Sky IPA.
