A full bodied, full flavored ale. Deep garnet red with a dense, creamy head of tan. Stone Thrower is fermented at a lower temperature and the brewing water is softened to be closer to that found in Scotland. Malts: Pale, Crystal Chocolate, Roast. Hops: Hallertau Tradition, East Kent Goldings.

Bottle. Poured red brown with thin fast dissipating head. Aroma of caramel, and nuts. Balanced flavour, some caramel, a tiny bit of fruit, and some nut. Nutty finish.

Pours a clear dark ruby/amber with a full light tan head. Nutty malty aroma. Delicious roasted malt sweetness along with a gentle balanced blend of coffee caramel and a touch of chocolate. Not too hoppy, as the style would dictate. Very good effort!

This beer pours deep ruby red/brown with a medium off white head. The aromas are plums, raisins, cinnamon. The mouthfeel is sticky and sweet and malfunctioning. This is a typical scotch ale. Cheers!

Deep brown and garnet body with a thin khaki head. The nose has tons of caramel and a little bit of fresh wood. There is also some fresh cooked pancake batter. The taste is rich toffee and old wood. The finish has a little bit of plastic and some smoke. I am not normally a fan of the style, but this one is decent.

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a deep mahogany color with a one and a half finger thick light tan head. Aroma is light caramel malt and spice. Very light lacing. Flavor is primarily toasted caramel malt which lingers in the finish. Medium body. A decent beer.

Pours deep ruby/garnet, thin white head fades quickly to moderate lacing. Nose is malt, oak, chocolate, hints of vanilla, some resinous hops. Really solid bouquet. Slightly funky malt notes up front, bit of sweetness, good scotch ale character, slight bitterness rounding out the finish. Good, but I feel like there’s something a little off, sort of a stale note that’s not overwhelming but noticeable enough to kind of throw the flavor off; maybe a hint of diacetyl? Really good crispness and carbonation, a little oily and creamy at the same time.

Bottle. Reddish brown color with weak off white head. Lots of caramel maltiness and nutty aromas. Smooth finish. I liked it!

(12oz bottle). Pours dar k red color with thick head. Decent lacing and good carbonation. Aroma of caramel, roasted nut and some florals and perhaps cheese. Taste is malty sweet with a slight hop bitterness and the end. Medium bodied with oily texture. Finish is smooth and malty. For my tastes this is one to be consumed cold as the malts begin to assert themselves more as the beers warms. Not a fan of malty beers, but I could see myself drinking a few of these at a pub
