Nutty aroma with hints of peat and oak barrel. Pours light brown with average beige head. Taste is more peat, wood, smoke, kind of dry palate. Not bad.

Dark brown pour some light tan head. Aroma of brown sugar, woody and raisins. Lactic acidity some acrid maple syrup flavors. Woody smokey toffee caramel. Does have nice smooth yet also acidic mouthfeel. Not nearly as plying as some scotch ales.

Bottle from Sun Devil Liquors. Pours brown with a thin khaki head. Leaves a lot of lacing in the glass. Big peaty, malty notes on the nose and the tongue. Finishes clean. Nice.

Bottle. Pours dark brown with red hues, off-white head. Smells nutty, malty. Tastes like soy sauce, coffee, nuts...not too good.

A nice scotch ale, all the things you like in your malty ale. Hops are subtle in this beer, as they should be. Quite nice.

Reddish brown with a thick creamy tan head. Malty sweet aroma. Medium body with lots of malt. Filling finish. This one would probable be more enjoyable if the temperature outside was below 100 degrees.

Served on tap. Poured a brownish/dark red with white/tan head. Not much aroma. Smacked with a big malty taste initially but lacks a "full" feeling. Can't taste much alcohol. A little light for a scotch ale.. Smooth finish ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Fatehunter (1483) - Corbett, Oregon, USA - SEP 8, 2013
Poured no head, only a couple small bubbles on the surface of an opaque dark brown colored body. The aroma is nice. Like fresh baked whole wheat bread. The taste is characteristically sweet with a touch of lemon bitterness. The texture is thin with low carbonation. Drinkable.

Pours a clear dark ruby - fizzy, soda like carbonation out of the bottle, but is fails to kick up a head and looks almost still after a few minutes - sweet and heavy maltiness in the nose, with notes of toffee, christmas pudding - light acidity and a touch of spiciness try to balance - low carbonation, medium to full body - an early acidity makes way for fairly rich malt character - a lot of toffee, plum - lacks the earthy and peaty notes often associated with the style, so not as complex as it could be, but decent (aside from looking pretty unappealing).
