COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, rich IPA features Simcoe hops which give it both a fruity, piney hop nose and a clean, ringing bitterness. IN-between, the malt flavor is slightly caramel for a touch of malt sweetness. This IPA is well-balanced and very expressive with hops.

Smells like pine and citrus... pours a deep copper color. Flavor starts with your normal citrus fruits and finishes with a piney bitterness. A little more bitter than the transitional IPAs i’ve tried, and have to say that at this rate IPAs may start to creep into one of my favorite types of beer.

12oz bottle dated 10/23/14 - so it appears to be pretty old. Aroma - hints of caramel, probably from sitting too long. Hints of tropical goodness. Nice lingering taste... I would like to try it fresh and see what the difference is. Not too bad considering it is old for an IPA

12 oz pour from refrigerated bottle into Spiegelau IPA glass. Fluffy white three-finger head. Moderately clear, only a bit of hazy. Light brown in color. Nose is sweet and piney. A little floral. Mouthfeel is quite creamy. Taste is that of a solid IPA. A little pine, more flowers, a hint of citrus fruit with some sweetness there. Great IPA.

From a bottle into a glass. The body of this beer looks great to me. A dark orange with a minimum white head yet I think this an old ipa and has no date on the bottle to dis agree about the fruity taste the descripition.Carmel medium body.Would drink again.

Blind taste poured from a bottle. Copper with pillowey off white head. Aroma is like green tea, booze and pine. Medium sweet malt with mild bitterness up front and bitter grapefruit juice flavored finish. Thanks to wife for getting a Montana beer to Maryland for #500.

Pours slightly hazy orange amber. Brief head. Nicely aromatic - tropical fruit, lightly citrus and pine. Flavor follows with nice malt base, and bit of pepper. Palate is crisp, dry, with moderate malt chewiness. Finish is nicely balanced hops first, faint malt. Nice IPA.

Pours amber with a fading head. Nose shows sweet syrupy malt and some soft piny hops. Malty flavours, quite clean. Some piny hops. Not particularly complex. An assertive bitterness in the finish.
