3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 355ml bottle on 14/11/2014. Pours an almost clear darkish golden with a small uneven head. Has a curious burnt caramel aroma with some mineral notes as well. Take a sip and you get a fairly big caramel malt background, some sweet stone fruit, followed by some relatively firm, lingering piney hops, which feature a touch of spice at the end. Has a medium body and average carbonation. A decent but not altogether harmonious IPA.

Sweet flavor and not bitter. Piney. Sticky. Herbal. Hoppy. Fresh. Good brew but not amazing.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
can from mane liquor. Pours a deep golden/brownish colour with minimum head. Lowish carbonation which i think detracts from the beer a bit. Solid IPA though, especially for the price. Aromas of tinned pineapple and other tropical fruit. A surprisingly (but pleasantly) malty presence is surrounded by some sweet, burnt sugar and candy flavours.

Tasted at Willow Park Beer Bash 2014. Unfortunately, there was no time for detailed notes - and I only made it through half my list even so!

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
A very dry aroma of citrus and honey. Heaps of hops in the mouth with a nice malt structure underneath. Good length, nice palate.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Draught at Winston's in Saskatoon. Underachieving IPA. Weak nose. Hop add little flavour, more for bitterness. Better as an ESB. Average.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
not aromatic enough for my tastes...not for an ipa anyway. would have made a nice, bitter pale. as it stands, this is an average beer, which makes it an under average ipa for this hop lover."

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color a two finger of white colored foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer has a big smell of a bready and citrus nature with the citrus being mainly of a grapefruit hop smell, but containing some aromas a sweet orange. Along with the grapefruit hop comes aromas of pine and a bit of an earthy smell as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and very citrusy flavor with the presence of a bit of orange sweetness mixed with a grapefruit hop. Other fruity flavors of a tropical fruit nature (tangerine, mango, pineapple) are present from the start as well with these fading as the flavor advances on more toward the end of the taste. The bready flavors take on some more biscuit like notes as the taste advances with the hop really ramping it up toward the middle to the end. While initially only a grapefruit hop being present, hop flavors of pine and a floral nature, as well as an increase in the grapefruit come to fruition more at the end of the taste. With all these changes and a bit of the tropical flavors really coming back strong at the end, one is left with a decently hopped and smooth flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the rather high side. Both actually fit the beers flavor profile quite well with the higher carbonation really enhancing the crispness of the brew all while the medium body did the same, but upheld the nice blend of hop flavors.
Overall – This was a rather easy drinking and quite enjoyable IPA overall. Rather tasty.
