3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jgb9348 (3369) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - FEB 11, 2010
Slightly hazy copper coloured body with ruby (YES!) highlights and a thick dense tan head - this is what an IPA should look like! Aroma of fresh floral hops with a touch of grapefruit, a lot of metal, some malt and a touch of caramel sugars. Medium-bodied; Sharp hop flavour at first then fades very nicely to a smooth malt backbone and a touch of the caramel sweetness and even some apricots. Aftertaste shows a lot more metal, nothing too bitter at the end, surprisingly. Overall, a good solid IPA, but nothing absolutely amazing - good all around though. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington on 25-April-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 11-February-2010.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 vyvvy (2798) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - FEB 10, 2010
Pours clear copper with a frothy beige head. The aroma has a balance between caramel malt and hops that are citric, tropical and earthy. Medium body that’s lightly rough with spritzy carbonation. The flavor starts with tropical, floral and smooth citrus hop flavors blended with thick toasted malt. The finish is fairly dry with a hop presence that’s more spicy, woody and earthy. Decent IPA.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Sledutah (1894) - Utah, USA - FEB 5, 2010

A very good IPA, crisp and clean. Enjoyable!
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 RollinHard (951) - Fort Worth, Texas, USA - JAN 27, 2010
Pours burnt orange with a moderate white head. Aroma is quite grapefruity and floral with a bit caramel and bread in the background. Taste is initally malty and flowery, flavors of caramel, grapefruit, potpourri, and pine. Finishes substantially bitter with malt flavors turning to burnt toast and the hops drying out to a bitter grapefruit and floral aftertaste. Medium bodied, and certainly drinkable. Better than some IPAs, not better than others.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 JFURYCAT (989) - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 25, 2010
The nose rocks but the flavor is a bit too biscuity for me with the malt quotient. It does, however, have a good abundance of grapefruit, pine and a nice dry palate to follow. I’d cut the caramel a bit and this would shine.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Bassikpoet (70) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2010
Bottle. Pours a caramel orange with about a finger of head that dissipates quickly. Citrus and notes with a dash of pineapple. A nice bitterness tempered by the smoothness of the malt. Hints of salt are present though. In general a very drinkable IPA: smooth and medium bodied.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 fata2683 (2066) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JAN 22, 2010
bottle, pours a rich carmel with a medium frothy light tan head. Aroma is huge grapefruit, hops, and rock candy. Solid bready malt base with some nutty character, ends with a nice moderate bitter hop finish that has citrus notes as well. Really well made IPA.
