COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, rich IPA features Simcoe hops which give it both a fruity, piney hop nose and a clean, ringing bitterness. IN-between, the malt flavor is slightly caramel for a touch of malt sweetness. This IPA is well-balanced and very expressive with hops.

Bottle. Poured a dark amber color with a two finger white head. Left plenty of lacing on the side of the glass. Aroma was grass, pine, spruce, and citrus. Flavor was bitter then sweet. Pine, floral hops, and a bitter sweet aftertaste. A very good ipa.

A pretty nice IPA. If this were local I would reach for this a lot. Nice clear coopper color. Pine and slight sweetness in the aroma. Good caramel malt back bone with a sticky resin pine flavor and finish.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café, Wallingatan, Stockholm) Deep amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with orange peel, grapefruit, caramel and a touch of pine needles. Malty, fruity taste with notes of caramel, grapefruit, pine needles and fresh hops in the finish. Well balanced, tasty and solid IPA with a fresh, hoppy bitterness. Medium body, fairly dry. Nice beer.

Sampled at 2009 WIU Performing Arts Society Beerfest. Red amber with small off-white head, totally diminishing. Very nice resinous pine and sweet malt aroma with brown sugar and toffee and underlying peach. Nicely balanced sweet/bitter flavor, the caramel malts really pop. Finish is quickly waning, just a touch thin towards the end. My favorite of the IPAs I sampled at the festival.

Aroma is amazing. Huge hop aroma. Taste is a bit tart with a lot of hop flavor. Not a ton of bitterness. I wish it had a bit more malt backbone. Great beer. I have liked just about anything Big Sky brews.
