4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Transfer from BA review on 4-28-14-
Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a golden amber color a two finger of white colored foam. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a light level of foamy lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer has a big smell of a bready and citrus nature with the citrus being mainly of a grapefruit hop smell, but containing some aromas a sweet orange. Along with the grapefruit hop comes aromas of pine and a bit of an earthy smell as well.
Taste – The taste begins with a bready and very citrusy flavor with the presence of a bit of orange sweetness mixed with a grapefruit hop. Other fruity flavors of a tropical fruit nature (tangerine, mango, pineapple) are present from the start as well with these fading as the flavor advances on more toward the end of the taste. The bready flavors take on some more biscuit like notes as the taste advances with the hop really ramping it up toward the middle to the end. While initially only a grapefruit hop being present, hop flavors of pine and a floral nature, as well as an increase in the grapefruit come to fruition more at the end of the taste. With all these changes and a bit of the tropical flavors really coming back strong at the end, one is left with a decently hopped and smooth flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the medium side in terms of thickness and creaminess with a carbonation level that is on the rather high side. Both actually fit the beers flavor profile quite well with the higher carbonation really enhancing the crispness of the brew all while the medium body did the same, but upheld the nice blend of hop flavors.
Overall – This was a rather easy drinking and quite enjoyable IPA overall. Rather tasty.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured a hazy orange amber colour with a three- to four-finger off-white foamy head that diminished slowly and laced well. Carbonation high and fine. Aroma of sweet tropical fruits followed by beautiful citrus flavours. Taste starts with a short sweetness then turns to quite bitter (a bit too bitter) citrus/grapefruits and pine. Light body. Dry grapefruit bitterness on a short finish. Very nice!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
From 12 fl oz can. Pours a clear copper-amber with a fluffy, lasting white head and lively carbonation. Aromas of pine, lemon, crusty bread and flowers. Taste is caramel sweetness at first before a crisp pine resin/lemon zest bitterness sweeps through. Orange and some malt towards the end. Lingering finish with a lemony aftertaste. Nice showcase for Simcoe hops. Great stuff.

With Z, pours a rusty amber color with a small head, Nose is heavy bitter citrus with pine and resin notes. Taste is bitter sweet with bold citrus notes and strong pine and resin. Finish is moderately bitter and ends on the same tasting notes with a moderately long finish. A solid IPA from The Treasure State . Quaff Score 8 / 10

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bottle. Pine resin aroma with notes of tropical fruit. Pours amber colored with a decent tan head and a little lacing. Starts with sweet tropical fruit followed closely with a bit of hop bitterness. Finishes quite smooth for an ipa with pine resin flavor coming through strong on the finish. Pretty nice ipa.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
355ml bottle from WA Australia. Pours a burnt copper amber with little head that turned me off at first. Forresty pine smelling with other forrest floral aromas. Sweet as it first hits your tongue before turning earthly bitter. Just how i like my IPAs. Will be having the whole six pack tonight, love it.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Produces a burnished copper and sparkling. Head is soppy, sudsy and depletes to a wafer of white. Levelled flat is the nose. Honey, toffee, piney and just plain pine forest with a mere whiff of lemongrass, butter, and menthol. Menthol, smoke, burnt rubber, toffee and rough, damp, bitter herbs fulfil the palate. There is a lick of fruit but it is caramelised and bitter. Length is burnt, acrid bitter citrus. Body is lean, juicy fruit juice in feel with very soft carbonation. Bitter finish doesn’t fit. Not fresh or a bad batch, but not the best in all aspects. (12fl.Oz can, The Liquor Shed, Jandakot)
