This big, rich IPA features Simcoe hops which give it both a fruity, piney hop nose and a clean, ringing bitterness. IN-between, the malt flavor is slightly caramel for a touch of malt sweetness. This IPA is well-balanced and very expressive with hops.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2013 Big Sky IPA from the bottle. Pours a great amber/copper color. The hops and the citrus are outstanding. It is important to buy more than one sixpack, and I have a few times now. Outstanding IPA from Montana. Update: Malt aroma is dominant. Not until you malt your own barley can you really grasp malts. Malts are the bread and butter of beers. The lacing is minimal and the carbonation is reduced, or so I thought, but I was wrong. Not until you have a drink and savor the flavors can you really appreciate this ipa. You gotta try some.

Sampled from a 12 oz bottle. A malty, smooth and balanced IPA overall. Medium body with notes of earth, pine and a touch of toffee and caramel malt to round things out.

I’d buy this on the ’reg for sure. Nice front of hops, pine, some floral and earthy smells and tastes to it. Makes me thing of being out in the woods. The official beer of the lumberjack. Orange blond in color, very nice to drink this

Can. Nice enough, caramel maltiness, light hoppiness, bit of citrus. Alright.

Solid IPA - slightly malt dominant - a good amount of herbal, fruity hops - a bit two dimensional - light on the tongue - decent bitterness - a quaffer - not exciting and wouldn’t seek it out but wouldn’t turn it down if offered.

Lighter amber, clear, nice foam that doesn’t stay too long. Aroma has a bit of grains, hay freshness and not too much anything else. Taste is bitter, hoppy, somewhat simple. Long bitter aftertaste. Solid simple IPA, even sessionable.

12oz can poured into a pint glass. A nice hoppy head and a strong grapefruit citrus taste to it. A solid IPA.

Smells like pine and citrus... pours a deep copper color. Flavor starts with your normal citrus fruits and finishes with a piney bitterness. A little more bitter than the transitional IPAs i’ve tried, and have to say that at this rate IPAs may start to creep into one of my favorite types of beer.

12oz bottle dated 10/23/14 - so it appears to be pretty old. Aroma - hints of caramel, probably from sitting too long. Hints of tropical goodness. Nice lingering taste... I would like to try it fresh and see what the difference is. Not too bad considering it is old for an IPA
