3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Overall, a great representation of the traditional IPA. Sitting at a local new brew pub in San Antonio in the summer heat...a great, relaxing, smooth IPA. Good times, good beer, and hot weather (102 right now)...life is good.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours slightly hazy orange amber. Brief head. Nicely aromatic - tropical fruit, lightly citrus and pine. Flavor follows with nice malt base, and bit of pepper. Palate is crisp, dry, with moderate malt chewiness. Finish is nicely balanced hops first, faint malt. Nice IPA.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated based on notes taken 31 Mar 2012 -- This was the best beer available at Laughlin AFB when I first moved there. It steadily got better, but only a little bit. This beer was my savior.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
330mL can. Pours a clear golden with a big off white head. A pleasant piney/stone fruit aroma with hints of toffee. That big resinous grassey/pine dominate the flavour with a decent syrupy malt backbone.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is citrus, grass, light caramel and clove. Taste is light malts and caramel which transition to a fairly full bodied hop profile that finishes pretty smoothly. Appearance is a clear copper profile with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
From a bottle. Strong caramel aroma with a hint of pine. Taste is initially comprised of malt but is quickly overcome with a bitter and acrid flavor which remains on the palate. Not enough hops for an IPA; better as an ESB. Even then not the best of beers.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
From a 355ml bottle on 14/11/2014. Pours an almost clear darkish golden with a small uneven head. Has a curious burnt caramel aroma with some mineral notes as well. Take a sip and you get a fairly big caramel malt background, some sweet stone fruit, followed by some relatively firm, lingering piney hops, which feature a touch of spice at the end. Has a medium body and average carbonation. A decent but not altogether harmonious IPA.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet flavor and not bitter. Piney. Sticky. Herbal. Hoppy. Fresh. Good brew but not amazing.
