COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This big, rich IPA features Simcoe hops which give it both a fruity, piney hop nose and a clean, ringing bitterness. IN-between, the malt flavor is slightly caramel for a touch of malt sweetness. This IPA is well-balanced and very expressive with hops.

Rated based on notes taken 31 Mar 2012 -- This was the best beer available at Laughlin AFB when I first moved there. It steadily got better, but only a little bit. This beer was my savior.

330mL can. Pours a clear golden with a big off white head. A pleasant piney/stone fruit aroma with hints of toffee. That big resinous grassey/pine dominate the flavour with a decent syrupy malt backbone.

Really strong orange rind hits early. Fruity taste but a bit dry in the middle. Strong bitter end. 6.2%, 12oz, 1.7 std drks. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is citrus, grass, light caramel and clove. Taste is light malts and caramel which transition to a fairly full bodied hop profile that finishes pretty smoothly. Appearance is a clear copper profile with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

From a bottle. Strong caramel aroma with a hint of pine. Taste is initially comprised of malt but is quickly overcome with a bitter and acrid flavor which remains on the palate. Not enough hops for an IPA; better as an ESB. Even then not the best of beers. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Maris (1025) - Canberra, AUSTRALIA - NOV 14, 2014
From a 355ml bottle on 14/11/2014. Pours an almost clear darkish golden with a small uneven head. Has a curious burnt caramel aroma with some mineral notes as well. Take a sip and you get a fairly big caramel malt background, some sweet stone fruit, followed by some relatively firm, lingering piney hops, which feature a touch of spice at the end. Has a medium body and average carbonation. A decent but not altogether harmonious IPA.

Sweet flavor and not bitter. Piney. Sticky. Herbal. Hoppy. Fresh. Good brew but not amazing.

can from mane liquor. Pours a deep golden/brownish colour with minimum head. Lowish carbonation which i think detracts from the beer a bit. Solid IPA though, especially for the price. Aromas of tinned pineapple and other tropical fruit. A surprisingly (but pleasantly) malty presence is surrounded by some sweet, burnt sugar and candy flavours.

Tasted at Willow Park Beer Bash 2014. Unfortunately, there was no time for detailed notes - and I only made it through half my list even so!

From a bottle. Pours clear brownish orange with minimal head, citrus aroma, big rich hop flavours with a grapefruit finish.
