4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 GG (1980) - NorCal, USA - NOV 1, 2009
Maybe it was the mood I was in but this was one really damn good IPA. Maybe with all the stouts I’ve been sucking down, I was hankerin’ for some hoppage and this delivered that fix for sure. The beer pours out a dark amber color, clear with a creamy light tan head, beautiful lacing and some nice staying power. Aroma has enough hop character to really satisfy my needs with a strong piney punch, followed up with a floral/sweet caramel note. Flavor is really something to enjoy. A near perfect blend of juicy hops and a toasted/caramel malts. Really a damn good job with the balance. The mouthfeel on this beer is so damn silky smooth, it borders on an oatmeal stout thickness. Just a chewy goodness that I really enjoyed. A sixer of this will do me fine tonight while watching the WS. Damn good IPA.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 rmussman (1331) - California, USA - FEB 10, 2012
Sampled in a small bottle. Pours deep amber with a big white head on it. Pretty malty but the hops come through in the end.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Redpointed (66) - Colorado, USA - JAN 27, 2012
Very nice hop aroma, even through the pretty thick head. Taste is right where you want an ipa, citrus and the right amount hoppy bitterness. This was a decent ipa.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 akim (5) - Oregon, USA - JAN 17, 2012 does not count
It pours a clear amber with a short khaki head. I smell bread, grapefruit skin, something spicy. It has a nice balance of bitterness and sweetness. Medium to thick body, good carbonation.
Decent overall, but doesn’t taste like most IPAs I’ve had. The hops are there, but hidden behind the malt, which really takes over on this one. Bottle with a best by date of one week from now, so maybe it’s just an old bottle.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 nearbeer (2572) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - JAN 14, 2012
Draft at MarCellars. Amber-golden with a small lasting ring of foam. Nose of florally citrus, resin and caramel. Taste is the same with some grain and light gunmetal. Light-medium body is well balanced and an easy drinker.

Great aroma. Wonderful amount of hops that is full but not overwhelming to the palate.

Medium to dark amber color. Thick tan head. Very hoppy aroma, sweet to taste, with a strong bitter finish. If you like a flavorful beer, try this IPA.
