COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Butte, America once had the largest population of Irish outside of Ireland. Our Northern Rockies Irish Stout is a tribute to those hardy souls. A cream-bodied session beer, black as the sinside of a copper mine, Big Sky Brewing’s take on a venerable classic hits you right in the chops with a powerful dose of chocolate and coffee flavors and kiss o’ sour mash. So relax, enjoy and tap’er light.

Twelve ounce bottle from Albertsons in Butte. Pours inky dark with a thin tan head. Aroma is sweet and of carmel. Taste is rich, dark, and sweet. A tasty, solid stout. Not as complex or complicated as their Ivan the Terrible stout, but very drinkable and good. Thumbs up.

Sample at brewery, then growler, then bottle. Black, frothy brown head. Aroma of roast coffee, nice toasty malt, milk chocolate. Taste is sweet chocolate with some bitterness on the finish. Great beer, solid. Incredibly easy to drink, good morning beer.
