2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
The aroma is light a bit grainy. The appearance is not what I’m used to with a wheat beer. The taste was again not normal for a wheat beer. The beer is easy to drink, but overall a bit of a disapointment.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Review from notes on 06/05/10
Poured from bottle to perfect pint.
Beer is light straw in color, almost a brilliant brass. Slightly cloudy, no head, no ribbons. Smells wheaty, lightly malted, no apparent hop scents jump out at me. The beer is buttery, light, and standard for this type of offering. Amberesque in flavor, but light like a lager in body. Lower carbonation, easy to drink.
This beer is very safe within the parameters of a Pale Wheat Ale, but nothing worth missing the bus for.

4.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
This is a really nice beer! Poured at a good temperature with decent sized, foamy, cream-colored head that settled after a bit and lots of lace. Color is a clear yellow with several lazy bubble trails. Aroma is primarily hops, plus citrus, yeast, spice. Flavor’s like nose, also has bold carbonic tang that works well with the hop bitter, quite dry, and clean. Body is just right with bright carbonation. Finish is like flavor, of average length, and very drinkable.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sweet/light caramel malt, citrus aroma. Similar flavor; but the citrus is stronger relative to the malt. Some pepper flavor, also.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Poured a clear amber colour with a two- to three-finger white foamy head that retained well and laced well. Carbonation moderate with small to medium bubbles. Aroma subtly of sweet earthy malt. Taste sweet followed by a slight bitterness. Light body. Smooth, short, sweet finish. More lager-like that a wheat beer.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Was expecting more of a sweetness that normally accompanies wheat beers. Trout Slayer has none of that. Very Hoppy and bitter. Not particularly good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours pale golden with thin silky head and active carbonation in single stream (used a tulip). Aroma is sourdough bread and some tart citrus. Taste is mild bread, crackers and slightly flower (some Jujube’s thrown in for good measure). Finish is short and mildly dry. Closer to a wit than a weizen....
