3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Gusler (2654) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - NOV 23, 2007
The beer escapes the 12-ounce bottle a clear gold with a generous creamy white head that lingers long, upon its final dissolution; the lace provides a thin veil to obscure the glass. Nose has a nice earthy grain aroma, slight hint of hops, citrus like in its crispness, start has a fair to middling grain profile, decent bitter bite at the back, feels light to moderate. Finish has a sparkling acidity, the hops diminutive but pleasing, quite dry aftertaste, nice drinking beer, good session beer.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 greenhorn1 (587) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - NOV 17, 2007
12 oz bottle. Pours light copper, no head, medium carbonation. Aroma of malt and notes of lemon. Flavor is pine, citrus, malt and some vanilla. Kind of reminds me of a cream ale. Light mouthfeel, crisp dry finish. Refreshing, but a tad boring.
2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 eboats (1067) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - NOV 11, 2007
Bottled. Pours a light clear honey with a white head. Aroma is malt and toasted bread. Flavor is bread like with some toasted notes, and a bitter hop finish. The finish is dry and some part of the bitterness seems out of place. Mouthfeel is good, but it just has a bit too much bread like quality for the flavor. Texture and flavor don’t match.
2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 5000 (4104) - Hardened Liver, Washington, USA - NOV 9, 2007
UPDATED: NOV 10, 2007 Bottle: Golden in color, slightly fiery, quite clear, moderate to large foamy white head, sporatic lacing, light carbonation.
Mealy nose, not much Wheat malt detected. Moreso biscuity. Fairly big bisuity malts on the tongue.   Not sure that it fits
as a "filtered light Wheat beer" as it seems to have the wrong malt profile. Has more in common with a Cream Ale than a Wheat Beer.
The malts do, however, provide it with a fairly hefty body. Mouthfeel is well rounded and smooth. Overall I find it a
little too mealy, or too biscuity for my tastes. As it warms the biscuit becomes very apparent on both the nose and on the tongue.

UPDATED: SEP 25, 2008 Draft at Mackenzie River Pizza Co, Great Falls. Golden and clear with a small head. Slight honey and grassy hops aroma. Taste is the same. Palate is light and watery. Not bad, but I couldn’t identify any wheat flavors or aroma.

Bottle. Aroma of malted wheat, honey and some citrus zest. Pours pale yellow with a thin white head. Wheat spice, a hint of grassy hops on the palate. Medium bodied with lively carbonation.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Skyview (4880) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - OCT 7, 2007
Sampled 12-oz bottle, supplied by joebrew. Pours a clear light golden blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a fine film and ring. Aroma of light wheat malt, some flowery hops and a touch of citrus. Taste is light bodied, well carbonated with flavors of light white bread, grassy hops and some citrus zest. Finish is light, slightly bitter that quickly disappears. No where near the Bayern former product but still drinkable.
