Trout Slayer is a filtered wheat ale, fermented at cool temperatures, making it a smooth drinkable session beer. Brewed with Palisade, Glacier, and Mt. Hood hops, this straw colored beer is sure to please any craft beer drinker.

Pours a straw yellow with two fingers of head. Aroma is yeasty and cooked corn. Flavor follows. Some sweetness and also a tinny metallic flavor. Light bodied. Drinkable session beer.

Nice golden color. Little bit of hoppy bite. Would make a good session beer. Kind of above average wheat beer. Nothing amazing, but I’d drink this again.

Drinking straight from the bottle so can’t really comment on appearance but taste is good. Good hoppy bite and just a touch of bitter aftertaste but not too much.

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Gold and clear with a slowly dissipating, sticky white head. Aroma of fruity esters, bready malts, light skunk, socks, medium sweetness and minimal bitterness. Light to medium body, soft carbonation, pretty bland flavor. A bit dated, perhaps.

12oz bottle via trade. Pours a totally clear orange with some thin, white head. Nose is interesting, there is a little bit of garbage, sort of over ripened fruit, but that said, it could be an older bottle because the other aromas are grass, lemon, some persimmon, a hint of cedar. Flavor is sweet, the fruitiness of the weizen yeast comes out, some candy, orange peel, lemon peel, light soap. Medium bodied, refreshing finish. I’m sure this reads all over the place, as was the beer, but the whole was greater than the sum of it’s parts.

There aren't any glaring reasons it's not great for a filtered wheat. Tastes closer to a pilsner with the grassy refreshing notes. A good beer, but nothing special.

The aroma is light a bit grainy. The appearance is not what I’m used to with a wheat beer. The taste was again not normal for a wheat beer. The beer is easy to drink, but overall a bit of a disapointment.

Review from notes on 06/05/10 Poured from bottle to perfect pint. Beer is light straw in color, almost a brilliant brass. Slightly cloudy, no head, no ribbons. Smells wheaty, lightly malted, no apparent hop scents jump out at me. The beer is buttery, light, and standard for this type of offering. Amberesque in flavor, but light like a lager in body. Lower carbonation, easy to drink. This beer is very safe within the parameters of a Pale Wheat Ale, but nothing worth missing the bus for. Serving type: bottle 12-22-2010

This is a really nice beer! Poured at a good temperature with decent sized, foamy, cream-colored head that settled after a bit and lots of lace. Color is a clear yellow with several lazy bubble trails. Aroma is primarily hops, plus citrus, yeast, spice. Flavor’s like nose, also has bold carbonic tang that works well with the hop bitter, quite dry, and clean. Body is just right with bright carbonation. Finish is like flavor, of average length, and very drinkable.
