Commercial Description:
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.

Bottle...near expiry date. Pours a deep chestnut with reddish highlights. 3 finger mocha cap lasts moderately well. mild carbonation Musty malty sweet aroma. Big blast of chewy sweet malts, moderate hop bittering to balance...the finish has a distinctive char from black malts and a bready after taste. Nice ale...don’t know if I’d class it as a Brown ale...more like a sweetish porter....but very drinkable

A decent slightly better than average brown ale courtesy of my Secret Santa. Thanks! Aroma was so so. Caramel, peanut and just a hint of chocolate. Pour was a nice dark brown, but no bubbles or head at all. Taste was a nice mix of chocolate, caramel and peanut (sounds like a candy bar) with just a hint of carbonation. A little more carbonation and some fuller flavor would make this great.

Surprised I hadn’t rated this, a 12oz gift from Dalekliz shared with my gf Cyn on the night the cat moved in, so this beer is in honor of sophie. Pour is quite dark and bretty much black. Nose is sweet, and taste is sweet and overall well a well done brown ale.

12 oz bottle. Friend brought this beer from a trip to Yellowstone. Pours a brown color with a nice medium quickly dissipating head. This beer smells pretty sweet, with a nice malt and caramel aroma. Well balanced and great for a quick relaxing drink.

Great mixed nuts in the flavor; mostly hazelnut and cashews. Dry hop finish balances the rich malt perfectly.

On tap in Omaha. Nice brown ale color with a smooth foamy. Sweety aroma with a notes of caramel and malt. Flavor is sweet too and notes of sugar, malt and some chocolate in there. mouthfeel is balanced between sweet and bitter.

Português : Cerveja de cor marrom escura com uma espuma suave de curta duração. Aroma adocicado com notas de caramelo e malte. Sabor doce com notas de açúcar, caramelo e cohocolate. Retrogosto balanceado entre o amargo e o doce. Excelente!!<P>
