COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

Charmingly named brown ale with the aroma of nuts and coffee. Dark brown and sticky looking. Has a nutty sweet caramel flavor you’ll find is matched by a syrupy slime body that goes down easy but lingers well after. Solid example of American brown ale.

Can from Greg (gregwilsonstl) -- cheers! An old-fashioned, traditional kind of brown ale that wouldn’t be out of place in a British pub or a mixed 12 pack from 1997. Average body with a good amount of foam, followed by a general sweet caramel maltiness and a little bit of nut flavor. Is it fancy? Not really. But I’d happily drink a lot of this.

Bottle pour. Aroma is molasses, vanilla. Appearance is dark brown/mahogany with 1/2 finger-width beige head without sparkle or lacing. Taste is molasses, toffee with vanilla and light fruit, English hops. Palate is light bodied with thin, creamy texture, average to lively carbonation, mainly sweet over bitter finish. Overall, a solid brown ale with a molasses/toffee bent with English twist from the Kent Goldings hops.

On tap. Pours a clear brown with a small, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and caramel. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and nuts with a dry finish. Medium body with a watery texture and soft carbonation. Not bad.

Gift from wife. Medium brown with light brown head. Roast caramel aroma. Not overly sweet or malty but distinctly brown ale. Toffee caramel dry clean finish with just enough earthy hop for balance. Very good brown ale. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

355ml can (thanks FatPhil). Clear very dark color. Small size, tan head, stays. Sweet, faint rubber, caramel, fruity in aroma. Sweet, caramel, sugary in taste. Sweet and caramelly in aftertaste. Soft carbonation. Drinkable one.

UPDATED: JUN 12, 2016 355ml can - thanks dwyerpg!
Nice rich roasty aroma, savoury, a bit of soy. Watery palate, carbonation high. A touch yeasty. Bit dull, just some savoury malts. Nothing to really grab onto here, and the carbonation was offputting.
