Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

Roasty flavor, tastes of burnt caramel. This is a pretty average beer. I wouldnít seek it out.

Smooth easy drinking brown ale. On point stylistically. Light enough to drink during hot months and warm enough for the winter months.

355ml can @ Buffalo Bar, Brisbane CBD. A cloudy red-brown appearance with a creamy tan head of average duration. Nose and taste is sweet toasty malts, subtle red berries and a light hop bitterness. Clean smooth creamy easy drinking palate of light-medium body.

From bottle with 9/8 expiration date.

Despite my best pour efforts, it pours brown, no head. Just blah. It looks like a light Folgers. Blah.

Aroma is a lot better. Itís very malty. I also smell chocolate and toffee, and maybe a hint of coffee. The malts are maybe medium roasted. A little nutty.

Taste falls flat. Itís sweet and malty. Itís a little chocolate, a little coffee, but not much. Again, taste falls flat. It has no body, itís super watery.

Mouthfeel is poor. It has no body, and thatís really the thing that hurts it the most. Itís like drinking water. It might have a slight wet finish.

Overall, I really should consider giving this another shot, but I donít think it will make much difference. Based on this one bottle, I wouldnít suggest it. It just needs some body.

I had this from a longneck bottle. The aroma is distinctive, balanced, and malty. The flavor is malt forward, medium bodied, and the British hops shine. The modest bittering is lovely and it is the balanced achieved by that which makes this an exceptional beer.

Bottle. It poured a translucent brown with a small head into a shaker glass. Aroma was roasted malt with a bit of dark chocolate/coffee flavoring. It was easy to drink and fairly well balanced.

Moose Drool is a nearly clear red brown beer with a very thin and fine head of small white bubbles. Nose is sweet caramalized malt. A faint hop presence is behind the brown sugar goodness. Taste is lightly sweet and a bit of creamy earthy toasted malt on the back end. THe body is just sort of flat, but otherwise a very surprising and complex beer.
