COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

Roasted barley with hints of coffee on the nose. Pours a clear brown with a nice toasted barley flavor with hints of caramel and cocoa. has a pleasant yet subtle lingering hoppiness on the back of your tongue. A very nice brown ale, will definitely buy again.

Can from Mane Liquor. Wasnít expecting huge things when it came to this but I was pleasantly surprised. Pours hazy dark brown with a small beige head. Pretty straight forward stuff but itís all pleasing enough - nutty, toffee, biscuit, mild grass, slight resin. Very drinkable. Solid

Brown from bottle. Aroma is mild malt caramel. Taste is very slight - almost tasteless. Overall, quite bland though as it warms something pops out. Definitely for the session heads.

Montana! Tap at Aces and Ales Tenaya. Pours dark brown with a faint white head that fades quick. Aroma is brown bread, maybe a hint of chocolate. Smooth and easy drinking, chocolate and brown bread show up in the flavor as well. Thereís a bit of (goldings?) hop bitterness to balance. A bit more carbed than it probably should be.

Aroma of malt, cloudy brown colour with a well laced light brown head. Taste of malt with traces of salt and chocolate with a watery feel and malt palate.

A terrific brown ale from the States and there are not many of them! This pours with a nice head and sends out an enticing aroma of spicy hops that has the senses tingling with anticipation. The flavour is clean and tasteful. A well executed beer.

Dark brownish red with some orangey red highlights. Faint chocolatey? malt smell. Taste is malty sweetness of a slight chocolate bent with enough bitterness in the finish to balance it out. Creamy, full feel.

bottle @ Johnís Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Clear very dark ruby brown color, persistent tan head cover, bands of lace. Taste is dry roasted malt, like chalk on the tongue. It adds earth and light spice in the palate before turning to light hops to finish. I would never guess thus was a brown ale - more like a porter or stout.

Pours clear brown with some pale brown head. Nose is chocolates, caramels, breads, biscuits, toasty, and maybe some flowery notes as well. Flavor is similar, semi-sweet finish, balanced and delicious. Very good and drinkable.
