COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

A roasty malty lightly hopped brown ale. A nice sustained cream head with a root beer color.

This one was a real surprise. Waited a long time to try this. Medium brown color with a nice head. Aroma is weird. Smells cheap and grainy. Taste is slightly metallic, some malts with a very unpleasant aftertaste. Disappointing brown ale.

On draft. Dark brown color with little off white head. Caramel and a slight hop taste. Very solid beer. 555 beer this year.

From 355 ml can. Pours a clear chestnut brown with a small off-white head. Faint aromas of raisins, caramel and malt. Taste is gentle dark fruit and more caramel with a slight coffee bitterness. Fairly short finish with a light fruity aftertaste. Straightforward but very drinkable.

mattyhennessy (341) - Highton, AUSTRALIA - NOV 7, 2014
Pours light brown with a tan/beige head with a slight haze. Caramel and toffee on the nose with some spice and fruity hop esters. Toffee and caramel dominate the flavour with a surprising hop presence. Roasty flavours also emerge. Nothing really that makes this beer amazing, but it is solid. Great to sink a few

Chicory and a roasted malt are very gentle this ale. Light and simple Pleasant bitterness on gently sweet background. B@H

A good beer, a bit to much hop aroma/flavor and not quite enough bitterness to balance. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Typical nearly opaque brown appearance with no head. Unsubstantial aroma consisting of malt, roast and caramel. Very boring brown. Extremely thin and watery. The flavours are adequately described by the aroma. Simple and feeble. Don’t quite understand the praise for this one.

"pretty smooth beer, even better if you can find it in the metal bottles. dark roasted malt and coffee on the nose and tongue. A cut above average. Recomended. 3.4 bottle, 3.6+ tap, 3.6+ aluminum

Good! Nutty and roasty and not too sweet. A great specimen for a Brown ale.

Good sessionable beer. Pours a rich brown with small tan head. Picking up spicy aromas and a peppery edge. Cherry and toffee flavours ensue. Surprisingly good.
