Clear medium amber color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light brown head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate notes, moderate hoppy, orange. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is watery to oily, carbonation is soft. [20090805]

Draft. An amber beer with a thin brown head. Both the aroma and flavor are sweet and dominated by caramel.

From tap at Jacks Bar, San Francisco. Pours dark brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity and dark malty. Bitter and dry malty flavoured. Dark roasted. Vague vegetable note. Bitter, roasted malty and dry finish.

Bottled. Amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is caramel malts, some mild sugary notes as well as chocolate. Flavour is fruity, a bit sour wooden,some chocolate and mild notes of caramel malts.

Brown color. Light chocolate aroma. Dry mouthfeel, with light flavor of caramel and very light roasted malt. Boring.

Clear mahogany with a medium to large beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and chocolate. Flavor had roasted malt, caramel, nuts, chocolate and hints of hops. Fairly dry and crisp. Not bad.

Bottle @ J.S.G. Pours dark amber with a small creamy bubbly white head. Sweet nose and taste. Nuts and caramel - vaguely roasted. Medium bodied. Pleasant.
