COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

Aroma of toffee, coffee and light hints of chocolate. Deep brown color with ruby hilites. Beige head that leaves quickly with some light lacing. Medium+ mouthfeel. Sort of chewy, a bit of sour, along with chocolate malt, not sweet. There is enough hop to balance the dark malt. A rather dry finish. Not nearly so harsh as most browns, but not so smooth as Newcastle by a long bit. Maybe a bit of fruit in the finish. Pretty tasty ale.

A: The pour is a very dark amber color with a thin tan head on top. S: A very toasty and bready nose. Not much depth other than perhaps a bit of earthiness and a hint of bitter chocolate. T: Very bland flavor with only a light bitterness coming through immediately. There is a bit of bitter chocolate and some nutty malt flavor and a mild sweetness on the finish. M: The body is fairly light and the carbonation is very high. D: Not particularly flavorful, so I really would not want to drink this one again.

Draft in Billings, MT. Dark brown color with an average frothy off-white head that diminished slowly with good lacing. Moderate sweet nutty aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture. Medium sweet flavor with a smooth sweet finish that lasted. This beer would go well with a good cigar.
