COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

A delicious brown ale. Sweet, but without a cloying aftertaste. The result is a lighter mouthful than Id prefer, but its a good trade. A little bit of bitterness on the back end adds richness. Overall, one of my favorites.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Tom L place. Thanks Tom. Deep amber with beige head. The aroma has notes of coffee, some roastiness, herbs and caramel. Very bitter flavor with notes of coffee and herbs, grassy and "green", some caramel, dry. Light to medium-bodied.

12 fl oz can, labeled with 5.2%. Dark red brown and clear. Big creamy light tanned head. Smooth roasted malt on the nose. Taste has toasted malt, caramell and sweetness, very fresh for a brown ale. Malty aftertaste. Really a nice one.

Bottle. Better Beer Of The Month Club. Dark brown-colored with amber hues and a beige head. Aroma of malt, nuts, caramel, chocolate, toast, some dark fruits. Rather sweet flavor, nutty, toasty, with caramel, a chocolate hint, a light sourish hint, a fruity note, and a bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. An OK Brown Ale.
