COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

Wonderful beer. Its my fav brown ale. The name might sound stupid, but its worth a try. I think this beer is better on tap, but i might be wrong.

Dark color with a frothy medium sized tan head (though it seems most people experienced a much weaker head). A rich malty aroma. Taste mostly consists of roasty malts with hints of toffee, yet goes down surprisingly smooth with a velvety finish.

A brown, sweet ale that is very sweet. Chocolate is the dominate aroma. The mouthfeel is thick and chewy. The head is thin and lacy. As someone mentioned, this ale is akin to drinking a brownie.

This is a very drinkable beer! Rich redish-brown color with a tan head. Light to medium body mouth feel with a mild roasty, malty taste and a nice bitter finish. Not overpowering or filling - could be a "sessions" contender. I like this better than Brooklyn's and Newcastle's brown ales. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice brown ale with nutty taste and smooth finish. Definitely a good brown ale when "Downtown Brown" is not available. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone Happy Drinking!

Aroma is very light, color is dark smooth and even with light airy head. Flavor is very malty but still light for a brown ale with a clean finish without a heavy aftertaste.

UPDATED: SEP 23, 2007 Pours a dark, dark brown, almost black like cola. Thick creamy, toffee head fades, but not completely. A thin layer of creamy, yeasty foam stays for the duration. This ale smells like cookie dough, tastes like a hazelnut milkshake. Delightful!!!! 99 cents for a pint at Discount Liquor in Milwaukee on 9/21/2007.

This is actually an excellent beer! I like the flavor! It is not a very confrontational fella! It’s laid back. Rather than pair brews with food I do it with soundtracks. I was drinking this and listening to Clutch- "Clutch" on this one. Enjoy!

12 fl oz / 355mL bottle into mug. Aroma: Definitely nutty. It reminds me of peanut butter. So not almonds, or hazelnut. Peanut-y, mostly. Appearance: This is probably the darkest brown ale I’ve seen so far. Almost opaque, it’s only slightly translucent when held up to light. Held up to light it’s a deep blood red. Very sexy. Head is a slightly darker-than-beige beige, and lingers. Taste: Starts out with that peanut-y flavor, and progresses to a roasty malt. It reminds me of a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup! Really quite good. Palate: Full, rich, and smooth. Splendid! Overall: I wasn’t expecting this to be THIS good! Quite a fantastic brown ale! Strong nuttiness and rich roasted malts. Fan-freaking-tastic!

Very nice and complex brown ale. Hints of chocolate and spice. Well balanced sweetness. Foamy white head. Like the brown ale version of a Mexican hot chocolate.
