COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moose Drool is our Brown Ale. Far and away the best selling beer brewed in Montana, Moose Drool is chocolate brown in color with a creamy texture. Our brown ale is a malty beer with just enough hop presence to keep it from being too sweet. The aroma also mostly comes from the malt with a hint of spiciness being added by the hops. Moose Drool is brewed with pale, caramel, chocolate, and whole black malts; and Kent Goldings, Liberty, and Willamette hops. It has an original gravity of 13 degrees Plato, and is 4.2% alcohol by weight, 5.3% by volume.
Note: ABV went down to 5.1%.

On tap at O’Niell’s. Dark brown with a spare head. Medium bodied, with a slick mouthfeel. Little bit of sweetness in the flavor. I really expected more from this, but it’s a decent brown ale.

The palate of this beer is almost perfect, it could use a little more bitterness though. I have had a couple of these in a bottle, don’t know if they draft it. good stuff

pours brown with very little head.aroma of chocolate, carmel and nuts.flavor matches the aroma.the mouthfeel of this is way to thin, watery would be a good word for it.light carbonation and a slightly dry empty finish.dont know if all the locals in montana are rating this, but its way over rated.

I grabbed a sixer of these cans up in Yellowstone. Poured it into a pint glass. It looks amazing. Brown to amber on the edges with a thick, dirty-white head. A fragrant beer. A good biscuit, yeasty, wet malt smell. A really solid smelling brown ale. The taste is initially watery, followed by a mild barley flavor. A real let down from how it looked and smelled. It feels like an average ale; moderate carbonation and normal texture. Besides the taste, this beer is fine. Too bad that taste is central to a good beer. It was not undrinkable by any means, but it tasted like a watered down brown ale. Maybe grab some for an athletic drinking event since it goes down easy.

Aroma has a roasted malty, coffee, carmel scent. Very dark brownish red color clear with mild carbonation nice tan head that last awhile leaving some lacing. Taste of roasted malt with a coffee, chocolate flavor that leave a Carmel flavor on the tounge. Kind of a light brown ale was very thin. Not bad just missing some fullness.

Draft at Jerry’s. Clear, dark red-amber with decent, creamy, tan head / Mild, sweet, and thin nose of cola, roast barley, and tobacco / Light to medium body, somewhat chewy and sweet, but thin / Weak flavors of cola, toast, coffee, and chocolate / Serious body issues.

Funky-toffee-biscuity thing, also a bit of vegetable/cabbage going on. Flavors mix poorly. Don’t know why this is considered a standout brown ale - I find it off-putting.

Bottle. The nose isn’t real strong, some coffee. Pours molasses brown with a thin white head and good lacing. Flavor is coffee & roasted nuts, very easy drinking abv - awesome drinking brown ale.

This is a beer that I’ve heard about for some time and I was pretty excited to see it in my latest Beer Masons pack. It did not dissapoint, I really enjoyed the malt flavour and aroma of this beer. It is so drinkable and a perfect Autumn beer.
